iKON’s Bobby has enlisted into the army quietly on June 4, 2024. The news was reported the same day that he entered the army. In consideration that he has to take care of his young son with his wife, he has been granted a full-time reservist role.
143 Entertainment announced that he had been supposed to enlist on May 21, 2024, with Chanwoo. Due to unexpected circumstances, his enlistment quickly changed on June 4 instead. Bobby enlisted quietly so as not to cause disturbances to the other enlistees.
Fans cheered him on as he enlisted. Many were also surprised to find out that he is of Korean nationality. They also laughed along with the “Jinsoo” inside joke. Jinsoo is a meme account on X (formerly Twitter) that particularly interacts with Bobby.
