MBC’s action drama “A Bona Fide Killer” is gaining more viewers as it gets ready to air its last two episodes. The show, which stars Gong Hyo Jin and Jung Joon Won, continues to hold the number one spot in its Friday-Saturday time slot across all South Korean television channels.
According to Nielsen Korea, the drama scored an average nationwide rating of 9.3 percent for its 12th episode, which aired on September 5. This number marks a clear increase from the previous episode, which recorded 8.6 percent. The show is now performing strongly as it approaches its series finale.
‘A Bona Fide Killer’ Stays on Top in Saturday Night Ratings
The drama maintained its lead over other competing shows in the same time slot. SBS’s “Flex x Cop 2” came in second place with a nationwide average of 7.8 percent for its latest episode. This was slightly lower than its personal best of 7.9 percent from the week before.
“A Bona Fide Killer” tells the story of Yoo Bo Na (played by Gong Hyo Jin), a working mother who leads a double life as a legendary assassin known as “Kingfisher”. She works on a sales team at Durumi Electronics during the day. Her husband Kwon Tae Sung (played by Jung Joon Won) is a news reporter who does not know about her secret life. Lee Sang Yi plays Lee Dong Jin, a detective and Tae Sung’s friend who is trying to catch the assassin.
The drama has seen strong ratings throughout its run. It opened with 7.4 percent for its first episode and later crossed the 10 percent mark. At one point, the show reached a peak rating of 11.4 percent during a tense scene.

‘Four Hands, Two Sonatas’ Sets New Saturday Personal Best
tvN’s new drama “Four Hands, Two Sonatas” also had a good week. The show scored an average nationwide rating of 4.4 percent for its third episode, which aired on Saturday. This marks the show’s highest ratings for a Saturday broadcast so far.
The drama stars Song Kang and Lee Jun Young as two piano prodigies from very different backgrounds. Song Kang plays Kang Pio, a perfectionist pianist who constantly seeks approval from his grandfather. Lee Jun Young plays Choi Jeong Yo, a gifted pianist who faces financial troubles after his father’s debts. The series follows their friendship, rivalry, and growth from their time at an arts high school through their adult lives as professional musicians.
“Four Hands, Two Sonatas” premiered globally on Netflix on August 29. New episodes are released weekly on Saturdays and Sundays. The show airs on tvN in South Korea and streams internationally on Netflix.
