A former South Korean girl group member, identified as “A” in court documents, is facing a potential prison sentence after being accused of making false claims of attempted sexual assault against her former agency CEO, “B, according to allkpop.”
The prosecution in the case, which began on February 27, 2024, at the Seoul Central District Court, requested a one-year prison term for A. A had previously transitioned from being a K-Pop idol to working as a broadcaster (BJ) after suspending her activities with her group.
The case stems from a police report filed by A in January 2023, accusing CEO B of attempted sexual assault. However, the initial investigation did not find enough evidence to pursue charges. A then filed an objection, leading the prosecution to take another look at the case, including reviewing CCTV footage from the time of the alleged incident.

The newly examined CCTV footage reportedly shows A calmly leaving the room where she was with B and walking around the office, even engaging in a hug with B shortly after the alleged assault. Based on this evidence, the prosecution now believes A’s claims were false and are seeking a prison sentence.
The court will deliver its final verdict and sentencing on March 21, 2024. It is important to note that A is presumed innocent until proven guilty, and the details presented here are based solely on publicly available information and the prosecution’s perspective.
