The wait is almost over for fans of the hit Korean action series. A Shop for Killers Season 2 officially arrives on July 22, 2026, on Disney+ internationally and Hulu in the United States. The show, which became one of Disney+’s biggest Korean originals, returns two and a half years after its first season ended. The new season brings back the main cast while adding fresh faces from Japanese cinema. Returning Cast and New Additions

Plot Overview: Ji-an Takes Control
Season 2 picks up right where the first season left off. Jeong Ji-an now runs Murthehelp, the online shopping mall that secretly supplies weapons to assassins. She inherits this dangerous business after her uncle Jeong Jin-man faked his death at the end of Season 1.
Jin-man returns alive and joins forces with Ji-an. Together, they plan a full-scale counterattack against Babylon, the global mercenary organization that hunted Ji-an throughout the first season. Babylon, however, is not backing down. The organization brings in overseas reinforcements to rebuild its ranks and seek revenge.
The season explores Jin-man’s hidden backstory. Viewers will finally learn what he did after faking his death and how he prepared for the coming conflict. Lee Dong-wook shared his thoughts on his character’s development in Season 2.
“It is an honor to return for Season 2, and I am happy to once again show Jeong Jin Man. Jin Man is a character who does not experience large emotional fluctuations, and he does not show them outwardly, but in this season you will be able to see moments where he reveals his emotions.”
Director Lee Kwon added that Jin-man faces many trials in the new season, with more emotional scenes than before.
Bigger Action and Higher Stakes
The action sequences in Season 2 have been upgraded significantly. Action director Jeon Jae Hyung, who worked on the first season, returned to handle the stunts. He praised Lee Dong-wook for his dedication to action scenes.
“He is already a fully formed actor when it comes to action. In Season 2, action unfolds in new settings that have not been shown before. We did extensive training to ensure that everything, including dark venue action scenes and wire work sequences, could be performed without a stunt double.”
Lee Dong-wook expressed confidence about the season’s action.
“The action has become more spectacular. I prepared with the mindset of not disappointing expectations.”
The sequel delivers larger-scale action than the first season. It builds on the military-style combat, gunfights, and Muay Thai fight sequences that made the original stand out.
New Threats from Babylon’s East Asia Branch
Season 2 introduces a new wave of assassins from Babylon’s East Asia branch. Jung Yun-ha plays Kusanagi, the branch manager who is driven by a strong desire for power. Her character shows contrasting sides, shifting between a composed demeanor and intense sensitivity.
Hyunri plays Q, the team leader who commands operations in the field. Her character never loses her cool under pressure. Masaki Okada plays J, a distinctive killer whose actions are impossible to predict. He brings a fresh energy to Babylon with a style unlike anything seen before.
The new cast members shared their excitement about joining the series. Jung Yun-ha said:
“When I first received the script, I found it fun because the elements connected to Season 1 were set up with such great depth. I was truly happy to be part of it, and it was a great honor.”
Hyunri spoke about her preparation for the action-heavy role.
“Because it is a project that I love so much, I felt a great sense of responsibility to make sure I did not disappoint the viewers. I thought a lot about needing to do well in the action scenes. During filming, I continued working out and training for the action sequences to build my body, even gaining 5 kilograms (approximately 11 pounds) focused on muscle.”
Ji-an’s Transformation
One of the most notable changes in Season 2 is Ji-an’s evolution. In the first season, she was frightened by the sudden attacks of assassins. Now, she fully steps into the world of killers with a transformed gaze. She has completed a harsh handover of responsibilities and become the new leader of the shopping mall. Her character now shows confidence and determination as she leads the fight against Babylon.
The returning cast members, including Min Hye and Pasin, return in even stronger form. The team dynamic is tighter than before, setting the stage for spectacular action and tense developments.
