The world of Ridley Scott’s Alien universe is getting bigger. Adarsh Gourav, the BAFTA-nominated Indian actor, is set to return as Slightly in the second season of the hit FX series Alien: Earth. He will soon leave for an international shoot, and this time, he has some big names joining him on set.
The first season of Alien: Earth premiered in August 2025 on FX (globally) and JioHotstar in India. The show follows a hybrid human-robot named Wendy, played by Sydney Chandler, as a spaceship crash brings Xenomorphs to Earth. The show became an instant hit with critics and audiences, scoring a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Adarsh Gourav on the ‘Special’ Feeling of Playing Slightly Again
Adarsh Gourav’s character, Slightly (also known as Aarush), is a complex “hybrid” of man and machine. The actor says the role stayed with him long after the cameras stopped rolling the first time.
“Coming back for Season 2 of Alien: Earth feels incredibly special. Slightly is a character who has stayed with me long after filming ended because of his emotional complexity and unpredictability. Getting the opportunity to explore him further in a world created by Noah Hawley and Ridley Scott is both exciting and deeply fulfilling as an actor.”
Gourav confirmed that he is flying out for the international schedule in the first week of June 2026, with filming starting right after. He teased that the next chapter is much bigger in scope.
“There’s a huge sense of anticipation around this season where the storytelling becomes even more ambitious,” the actor added.
Working With Peter Dinklage and Timothy Olyphant
The biggest news for Season 2 is the addition of Emmy-winning actor Peter Dinklage, famous for his role as Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones. He joins the main cast alongside returning star Timothy Olyphant.
For Adarsh, sharing the screen with such high-profile talent is a major boost.
“What makes this experience truly remarkable is being part of such an iconic universe alongside an extraordinary cast. Working with actors like Peter Dinklage, Timothy Olyphant, and the entire ensemble pushes you creatively every single day.”
Production on the second season is currently underway. Unlike the first season, which was shot in Thailand, Season 2 is being filmed at Pinewood Studios in London, the historic home of the original Alien movies.
