Finn the Human and Jake the Dog are back for more chaotic fun in the Land of Ooo. Disney+ and Hulu have released the official trailer for Adventure Time: Side Quests Season 2, and it promises the wildest childhood adventures yet for the beloved duo. All 20 episodes of the new season will be available to stream on October 2, 2026, on Disney+ and Hulu in the U.S.
The new trailer gives fans a close look at what younger Finn and Jake will face this time around. From wrestling toads to facing baby gladiators, the season keeps the standalone quest format that made Season 1 a hit with both longtime fans and newcomers.
What the Season 2 Trailer Shows
The trailer opens with Finn and Jake planning to zipline across all of Ooo, but things go hilariously wrong when Finn loses his grip and falls. From there, the footage jumps between several of their new adventures.
Princess Bubblegum sends the duo into the dream world to fight a demon. They also run into a group of baby gladiators and deal with magic spells that create even more trouble than they solve.
Fan-favorite deep-cut characters appear in the footage as well. Banana Man shows up, a character who has only made a handful of appearances in the franchise before.
The official synopsis describes the season perfectly: “Finn and Jake are back for more adventure and even more side quests across the wild, wonderful land of Ooo. Wrestling toads, facing baby gladiators, and getting tangled up in one too many magic spells, it’s clear no side quest is too strange, too small, or too dangerous to take on.”
A Younger Finn and Jake Take the Lead
Adventure Time: Side Quests stands out from other spin-offs by turning back the clock. The series focuses on younger versions of Finn and Jake during their early days exploring Ooo together.
Sasha Knight voices Finn the Human, taking over from Jeremy Shada, who voiced the character in the original series. John DiMaggio returns as the voice of Jake the Dog, a role he has played since the original show debuted in 2010.
The returning cast also includes Tom Kenny as Ice King, Hynden Walch as Princess Bubblegum, Olivia Olson as Marceline, and Niki Yang as BMO. These voice actors have been part of the Adventure Time world for years, bringing consistency to the franchise even as the timeline shifts to earlier days.

Cartoon Network Studios produces the show. Nate Cash serves as executive producer and showrunner. Cash previously worked as a storyboard supervisor on the original Adventure Time and has been nominated for two Primetime Emmys.
Victor Courtright is the supervising director for Season 2. The directing team includes Niki Yang, Katie Aldworth, and Rose Feduk. The creative team also features story editor Darrick Bachman, art director Nick Cross, and composer Matthew Janszen.
