The episode shows Seong Han-su (played by Choi Dae-hoon) putting his life on the line to save his friend’s daughter while Manager Kim (played by So Ji-sub) works behind the scenes to pull the strings. The episode has broken viewership records, with ratings peaking at 26.4%, making it the highest-rated miniseries of 2026.
Episode 6 Opens with a 2006 Flashback on Jeju Island
The episode begins with a flashback to 2006 on Jeju Island in South Korea. Mr. Kim is assigned to protect the US president’s daughter during her week-long vacation. When he arrives at the hotel, he finds Park Jin-cheol (played by Yoon Kyung-ho) and Han-su already there, setting up surveillance equipment. The flashback also shows how Kim created a bunker for protection.
Later that night, the three men meet at a local restaurant to discuss the mission. They do not agree on everything. Jin-cheol even challenges Han-su to a fight outside, while Mr. Kim calmly finishes his meal. This flashback gives viewers a rare look at how the trio worked together before the events of the series.
Gang-chan’s Plan to Kill Min-ji Fails
The story returns to the present. Min-ji gets into Mr. Ju’s car. Mole Cricket and his SMD (Special Mission Directorate) agents start searching for Min-ji. An agent secretly informs Mr. Kim about what is happening, and Mr. Kim and Han-su follow them to Musu Mountain.
By daybreak, Min-ji arrives at Musu Mountain. Her attempt to call home fails. She is taken inside to get changed and cleaned. Mr. Ju speaks to her about the incident. She is clearly scared and asks to speak to her father, but Mr. Ju refuses. Mr. Ju confronts her and holds her hostage. He tells her he will fabricate a story.
Just when Mr. Ju is about to inject poison into Min-ji, the SMD team arrives at his house. They start a desperate search, but Gang-chan uses his political connections to get rid of them. Mole Cricket is asked to leave Gang-chan’s house. Agent Jung Sang-a successfully rescues Min-ji, but she and Mr. Im have to hand Min-ji over to Mole Cricket.
Meanwhile, Manager Kim works to find out who has taken his daughter. Sang-a texts him earlier. He learns that the SMD will hold Min-ji hostage until he surrenders. When Kim tries to connect with Min-ji, Mole Cricket reminds him he must hurry up and surrender. Kim warns Mole Cricket that if anything happens to his only child, he will kill them all.
Min-ji Learns the Truth About Her Father
After Min-ji is taken to the SMD headquarters, Mole Cricket questions her about Kim’s actions. He wants to know why Kim is killing people. Before Min-ji can speak, Mole Cricket reveals that Kim is actually a spy whose identity must stay hidden.
Mole Cricket tells Min-ji to be honest. She reveals that the whole situation started because of Ju Gang-chan’s daughter Hye-ri. Hye-ri bullied Min-ji. They got into a fight, and Min-ji was hit with a brick. Some thugs took her away and threw her inside a cold storage. Min-ji makes it clear that Gang-chan wants to kill her because of what happened with Hye-ri.
This revelation leaves Mole Cricket in shock. He cannot believe that Kim has been eliminating people just to find his daughter. While he finds it hard to believe what Min-ji said, the teenager is heartbroken to learn that her father is a spy.
Han-soo’s Daring Rescue Mission
Choi Dae-hoon shines in this episode as the reliable uncle who risks everything to save Min-ji. Seong Han-su dives into a dangerous mission to save his friend Kim Chief and his daughter. He infiltrates the interrogation room where Min-ji is being held. He quickly subdues the agents and reassures the terrified girl.
“Minji, it’s Uncle Han-su. You must have had a tough time. Let’s go see your dad,” Han-su says in a gentle tone.
Han-su’s warm behavior, which puts the child’s fear first even in a tense atmosphere, leaves a deep impression on viewers. In a life-or-death moment surrounded by a suppression team, Han-su puts Min-ji’s safety above his own. Amid gunfire, he protects the child with his body. He covers her eyes when a flashbang explodes, blocks her nose when smoke spreads, and shields her ears during gunshots. These actions show what it truly means to be a reliable uncle.
Han-su’s warmth toward the child, even during extreme action sequences, delivers both tension and emotion. Choi Dae-hoon naturally balances funny moments with serious charisma, adding depth to his character. He brings energy to the drama with his easygoing style while maximizing tension in rescue scenes through a serious gaze and controlled emotional acting. Choi Dae-hoon balances exciting action with detailed emotional acting, creating the character of Seong Han-su—a reliable protector and trustworthy uncle.
The Trio’s Full Potential Unleashed
By the end of episode 6, the trio has shown its full potential. Han-soo finds Min-ji while Jin-cheol and Kim make sure to come to their rescue. Park Jin-cheol also plays a key role. He arrives at the trailer room and finds his wife there. He is scared of her and reveals the entire situation in detail. She lets him go and leaves, saying she is worried about those going up against her. He takes weapons from the trailer, calling them “kids.”
At the SMD headquarters, Mole Cricket orders Min-ji to be taken to an interrogation room. He also starts an emergency alert protocol. While Min-ji is being taken away, Han-su slides out from the bottom of a car and sneaks his way in. The entire headquarters is put under heavy guard in anticipation of Mr. Kim. Han-su reaches the interrogation room floor, only to find it heavily guarded. He traps a janitor and takes supplies to disable the power from the mechanical room. He heads to the interrogation room next, where Min-ji is under heavy surveillance.
Mole Cricket reveals Mr. Kim’s past to Min-ji and demands the truth about her kidnapping. She tells him what happened, but Mole Cricket finds it hard to believe. Just then, the Vice Minister of Security arrives, and Mole Cricket orders Min-ji to hide. Han-su notices Min-ji being taken away.
