The upcoming comedy film Dhamaal 4, starring Ajay Devgn, has officially completed its censor formalities. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) granted the movie a U/A 13+ certificate on July 2, 2026. However, the board asked the makers to make a few modifications before giving the final clearance.
Two scenes featuring hand gestures considered “obscene” were modified. Additionally, “obscene” words were replaced at seven different points in the film. On the positive side, no scenes were cut from the movie. The story remains completely intact. The filmmakers received the censor certificate on July 2 after completing the required changes.
CBFC Asks for Modifications in Dhamaal 4
The CBFC asked the makers of Dhamaal 4 to make specific changes before clearing the film for release. The modifications focused on two main areas. First, two scenes that featured hand gestures deemed “obscene” were suitably modified and replaced. Second, “obscene” words were asked to be replaced in seven places in the film.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the film had to go through these modifications before receiving the censor certificate. Once these changes were made, the makers of Dhamaal 4 were handed over the censor certificate on July 2. The certification also confirms that Dhamaal 4 has a runtime of 143 minutes, which is 2 hours and 23 minutes.
No Scenes Cut from Ajay Devgn’s Comedy Film
One of the biggest positives for fans is that no scenes were removed from Dhamaal 4. The board did not ask for any cuts or shortening of scenes. The story remains exactly as the makers intended. Only minor modifications were suggested. The film was approved without any major cuts.

Ajay Devgn Admits Box Office Pressure Before Every Release
At the trailer launch of Dhamaal 4, Ajay Devgn was asked if he still feels the pressure of the box office despite being one of Bollywood’s biggest stars. The actor admitted that the nervousness never really goes away. He said every film comes with a sense of responsibility after months of hard work.
“Thoda bahut toh rehta hai. Aapne itni mehnat ki hai toh film audience ko pasand aani chahiye aur chalni chahiye. Toh koshish toh yahi rehti hai ki film aisi banaye ki logon ko pasand aaye. Toh jab film release ho rahi hoti hai toh thoda pressure mein sab hi aate hain (There is always a little bit of pressure. When you have worked so hard on a film, you naturally want the audience to like it and for it to do well. The effort is always to make a film that people will enjoy. So when the film is about to be released, everyone feels a certain amount of pressure).”
Dhamaal 4 Cast and Production Details
Directed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 reunites the franchise’s popular cast. The film brings back the franchise’s core cast, including Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra, and Jaaved Jaaferi. The ensemble cast also features Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, Vijay Patkar, and Ravi Kishan.
Dhamaal 4 is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, in association with Devgn Films. It is a joint production of T-Series Films, Maruti International, and Panorama Studios. The film is produced by Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Indra Kumar, Anand Pandit, and Kumar Mangat Pathak.

It is always good to collaborate with each one of them and this time we all are going to explode together in a much more larger way and take people on a laugh ride.”
