The second cour of Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 4 is finally arriving after a short break. The series, officially titled Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke, began its fourth season on April 4, 2026. Produced by WIT Studio, the season adapts Part 3 of Miya Kazuki’s popular light novel series.

Fans have been waiting for the 13th episode, which marks the beginning of the second cour. The episode was originally scheduled for July 4, 2026, but experienced a one-week delay. About the Series

Ascendance of a Bookworm is based on the light novel series written by Miya Kazuki and illustrated by You Shiina. The series was first published in 2013 on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website before being physically published by TO Books from January 2015 to December 2023. A total of 33 volumes were released in Japan.

The story follows Motosu Urano, a college student and book lover who dies in an accident and is reincarnated as Myne, a sickly young girl in a world where books are rare and expensive. She is determined to create books herself, using her knowledge from her previous life.

The first season of the anime debuted in October 2019, followed by a second season in April 2020 and a third season in April 2022.

Crunchyroll is streaming all previous seasons in select countries worldwide. J-Novel Club has licensed both the light novel and manga series for English release.
