BLACKPINK is finally making a group comeback after nearly three years. YG Entertainment confirmed the music video filming started on June 6, 2025, at a secret location in Seoul. Fans are excited but some remain skeptical due to past delays.
The agency shared that a famous international director is leading the production. The music video will showcase BLACKPINK’s signature style and sound. No release date or song title has been announced yet, but YG says updates will come soon.
Executive producer Yang Hyun-suk confirmed the comeback is on track. He mentioned the group’s return in a YouTube video on May 25. Fans have been waiting since 2022 for new music from all four members together.
Mixed reactions flooded social media after the announcement. Some fans joked about the long wait, while others expressed frustration over past delays. Many are excited but want to see the final product before celebrating.
“I will believe this when I see the music video,” one fan wrote on X.
“The comeback is expected to release in 2067,” another joked.
“Don’t tell me they filmed it separately,” a third fan worried.
Despite the jokes, many fans are thrilled. BLACKPINK’s last group release was in late 2022. Since then, the members focused on solo careers, brand deals, and other projects. Their reunion is a big moment for the K-pop industry.
“Four soloists in one music video??? History is being made,” a fan tweeted.
“Oh it’s over for the rest of K-pop. The queens are back,” another added.
The music video is described as a large-scale project. YG says it will reflect BLACKPINK’s global influence. The group has broken records with every release, and expectations are high for this comeback.
Alongside the new music, BLACKPINK will start a world tour in July. The DEADLINE tour includes 31 shows in 16 cities. Stops include Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo, and London. Tickets go on sale in June.
The tour begins in Goyang, South Korea, on July 5. Asia dates start in October, with concerts in Bangkok, Jakarta, and Singapore. The final show is in Hong Kong on January 24, 2026.
BLACKPINK’s last tour, BORN PINK, ended in 2023 after 66 shows. The group has been on a break since then, with members pursuing solo activities. Their return as a full group is highly anticipated.
Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo started their own companies after their YG contracts ended. Rosé joined YG’s subsidiary, The Black Label. Despite solo work, the members agreed to continue group activities under YG.
Fans hope the comeback will include an album. Many complained about the lack of group content in recent years. Some are still upset over past delays but admit they will support the new release.
“Unfortunately I will probably love it. But I am still angry at the lack of updates,” a fan shared.
YG has not confirmed if an album is coming. The focus so far is on the music video and tour. More details are expected in the coming weeks.
