BLACKPINK fans are angry after YG Entertainment announced only one new song for their upcoming world tour. The group’s comeback after a two-year break has disappointed many fans who expected more new music. Member Lisa is now facing accusations of “damage control” after trying to calm fans online.
The tour, called Deadline, starts on July 5, 2025, in South Korea. Fans hoped for a full album or multiple new songs, but YG confirmed only one single will debut on the tour’s opening day. Many fans say this is not enough after years of waiting.
Tickets for the tour are being resold as fans express frustration. Some say they don’t want to watch the same old songs performed again. Others blame YG Entertainment for poor planning.
Lisa recently messaged fans on the app Bubble, saying she was excited for the tour. Some fans saw this as an attempt to soften the backlash. Others defended her, saying she was just connecting with fans.
“We deserve better,” one fan wrote online. “Girl you and your members have been performing the same set of songs for 2-3 years,” another added.
The tour will visit cities like Los Angeles, Paris, London, and Tokyo until early 2026. BLACKPINK’s last tour, Born Pink, ended in 2023. Since then, the members focused on solo projects.
Fans are now questioning if BLACKPINK has creative control over their music. Some believe YG Entertainment is not supporting the group enough. Others think the members should have pushed for more new songs.
“I started to lose my passion for them, where is the album? I do not want a tour of old songs that I saw on a previous tour,” a fan commented.
YG Entertainment has not responded to the backlash. The agency previously faced criticism for long gaps between BLACKPINK’s releases.
Lisa’s messages to fans included: “Me too… We are practising hard!!!” and “I can’t wait to see BLINKs!! There’s not much time left. My heart is pounding hehe!!” Some fans found these messages suspiciously timed after the backlash.
“Lisa mentioning the group without being asked about it… yeah they’re aware of the situation,” a fan noted.
BLACKPINK’s last group release was in 2022. Since then, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa pursued solo careers. Lisa launched her own company, LLOUD, and signed with RCA Records for solo music.
Fans are now divided. Some support the group no matter what, while others demand better treatment. The debate continues as the tour approaches.
