Rosé, the lead vocalist of BLACKPINK, has signed a global administration deal with Warner Chappell Music (WCM), marking a significant milestone in her career. The partnership comes during a landmark phase for Rosé, as she continues to redefine the boundaries of K-pop on a global scale.

A Historic Year for Rosé

Rosé’s collaboration with Bruno Mars on the single “APT.” has been a monumental success. The track:

  • Spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts.
  • Made Rosé the first female K-pop solo artist to debut at No. 1 on both charts.
  • Entered the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, another first for a female K-pop soloist.

Adding to her achievements, Rosé released her latest single, “Number One Girl,” ahead of her debut solo album ROSIE, set to release on December 6.

Rosé’s Statement and Warner Chappell’s Vision

Expressing her excitement, Rosé said:

“I am beyond excited to join the team at Warner Chappell. There is so much more to come that I can’t wait to share—it’s going to be an amazing journey.”

Ryan Press, President of North America at WCM, shared high praise for Rosé, highlighting her groundbreaking impact:

“Rosé has earned this moment, and it’s a huge honor to officially welcome her to our Warner Chappell family. She’s redefining the K-pop genre while paving the way for a new era of cross-cultural expression.”

What This Partnership Means

Under this deal, Rosé will retain full creative control and ownership of her songwriting catalog. Warner Chappell Music will handle administrative aspects, allowing her to focus entirely on creating new music.

As Rosé embarks on this exciting chapter, fans eagerly await the release of ROSIE, a project that promises to further solidify her legacy as one of K-pop’s most influential artists.
