The battle between Japan and France in Blue Lock has reached a breaking point. Loki just scored, and Hugo showed everyone why his system is nearly perfect. The latest spoilers for Chapter 343 are out, and they bring big changes to the match.
Japan was holding on. The score was tied. But France just pulled ahead again, and it happened because of a connection between two players who think exactly the same way.
Loki’s Goal Puts France Back in the Lead
The chapter is called “Vivian Hugo.” It starts with a flashback from two years ago. Hugo is at a France U-18 match. He is explaining his plan to break through defensive lines. He talks about specific speeds. A pass at 32 kilometers per hour. A delivery speed of 8.3 meters per second or faster. One player named Gabin finds it too hard to follow and calls Hugo a soccer freak.
Hugo is looking for something specific. He wants the right conditions to win the World Cup four times. That means the right coach, the right organization, and the right relationships. He believes he can only win as the number two of a team. From there, he needs a world-class striker.
He mentions Noel Noa, who is almost 30 in the flashback and currently 32 years old. Hugo thinks Noa can only win the World Cup once or twice with his current approach. So Hugo wants to find a new number one.
After another match, Hugo gets into a fight with Gabriel. Gabriel grabs him by the collar and tells him not to treat players like tools. Hugo responds by saying he overestimated Gabriel. He calls him a mediocre striker ranked 130th worldwide. Gabriel tries to punch Hugo.
That is when Loki shows up. He casually tells the coach to change the roles. Loki introduces himself and speaks bluntly, just like Hugo. He declares his goal to win the World Cup multiple times. The other French players are shocked. But Hugo is stunned. He found his perfect match. Someone who is arrogant, irrational, and brave.
Loki tells Hugo that talent beats everything. Only talented people would understand that kind of fate. Hugo replies that he only wants to win the World Cup four times. Loki is amazed. The narrator says it felt like destiny brought similar souls together.
How Hugo’s Perfect System Works
The story returns to the present match. Hugo takes the ball. He has two wings backing him up: Leyden and Camus. He moves between Karasu, Reo, and Kunigami using something called Loophole Dribble.
Then Loki appears from behind Hugo. Kunigami sees their plan. By crowding the midfield, the two of them are setting up a back-space strike. Loki runs at 37 kilometers per hour. He uses a slice-spin trajectory at 8.5 meters per second.
The narrator explains that Hugo knows his talent and Loki’s talent are both rare. They happen only once every 50 years. He is fully aware of this.
Gagamaru tries to stop them. He sees the intent. A pinpoint pass to a spot that cannot be reached. It links perfectly to a terminal point. And that leads to Loki shooting the goal.
The score becomes Japan 2, France 3. France is back in the lead.

For Japan, this is a tough moment. They had chances. They had moments where it seemed like they could win. But France’s perfect system just broke through again.
