BTS member Jungkook has made history by becoming the fastest K-pop solo artist to reach 9 billion streams on Spotify. The milestone was confirmed on June 16, 2025, by the X-account @WORLDMUSICAWARD. Jungkook achieved this in just 1,218 days, outpacing his own group BTS, which took 2,040 days to reach the same mark.

The singer now holds the title of the first and only K-pop soloist to cross 9 billion streams on the platform. Other major K-pop acts like BLACKPINK and TWICE took 2,346 days and 2,397 days, respectively, to achieve the same feat. Jungkook reached this milestone with just one solo album, GOLDEN, released in 2023. Despite having a limited solo discography, his global popularity has skyrocketed. His hit single SEVEN (feat. Latto) also set records, becoming the highest-charting song by an Asian solo artist on Spotify’s all-time list at Rank 82.

SEVEN has now spent 700 consecutive days on Spotify’s Global Daily Chart, a first for any K-pop solo act. The song has also crossed 2.4 billion streams, making Jungkook the first Asian soloist to achieve this with a debut single.

Jungkook recently completed his mandatory military service on June 11, 2025, alongside bandmate Jimin. He made a surprise appearance at J-Hope’s ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’ concert in Seoul, performing I Wonder, Jamais Vu, and SEVEN. Fans are now eagerly waiting for his first solo tour.
