BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) has achieved a major milestone with his solo track Love Me Again, surpassing 1 billion streams on Spotify. The song, from his debut solo album Layover, earned him a special plaque from the streaming platform. BTS’ official Instagram shared the news on May 7, posting a photo of the award and thanking fans for their support.

Fans worldwide celebrated the achievement, flooding social media with congratulatory messages. Many praised V’s talent and dedication, highlighting how the song reached this milestone despite limited promotions. Love Me Again, released on September 8, 2023, has also crossed 114 million views on YouTube and was voted Favorite New Music by Billboard.

“So incredibly proud of him. He deserves all the love and support. I’m so proud of him for doing it without any promotions or help,” wrote one fan on X. Others expressed hopes for the song to re-enter global charts, showing their continued support.

This achievement places V in Spotify’s “Billions Club”, joining BTS members Jimin and Jungkook, who previously earned plaques for their hits. Jungkook’s Seven, Left and Right, and Standing Next to You, along with Jimin’s Like Crazy and Who, have also crossed the billion-stream mark.

Love Me Again is an R&B track from Layover, V’s first solo album. The song quickly gained popularity for its emotional depth and smooth vocals. Despite minimal promotional backing from his agency, HYBE, the track’s success underscores V’s strong global fanbase.

Fans have often criticized HYBE for allegedly neglecting V’s solo projects compared to other BTS members. However, his consistent achievements, including this Spotify milestone, prove his undeniable influence. Earlier this year, V was also named the world’s most influential Korean Instagram influencer, further cementing his star power.

“They really wanna downplay Taehyung’s influence so bad,” one fan commented, referencing past controversies where HYBE reportedly limited his exposure. Despite these challenges, ARMYs (BTS fans) have rallied behind V, ensuring his music reaches new heights.

The 1 billion streams milestone is the proof of V’s artistry and the dedication of his fans. With BTS set to reunite after military service, supporters are excited to see what V will achieve next in his solo and group career.
