Recently, actor Byeon Woo Seok’s security team received harsh backlash for its “over-the-top” behavior at the airport.
An online video revealed Byeon’s security guard using a flashlight at civilians to prevent them from filming. The video went viral online, with many criticizing the security team’s actions.
The security team CEO quickly admitted that “it was the security guard’s fault for having shone the flashlight” and “wished to deeply apologize for making civilians uncomfortable.”
Byeon Woo Seok’s agency has officially apologized to the security team’s “over-the-top” behavior at the airport. Below is the official statement.
“This is Varo Entertainment. We sincerely apologize for the damage caused to the passengers at Incheon International Airport on July 12 as our artist was making his departure.
After becoming aware of the security guard’s use of the flashlight on passengers, we requested that he stop his actions. Although we could not recognize the detailed situation at the gate with security, we feel moral responsibility for the unpleasant incidents during the security process and bow our heads in apology for causing inconvenience to the passengers.
In the future, we will be more cautious and check in more detail to avoid situations that may cause inconvenience to other passengers. We apologize once again for causing concern.”
