KATSEYE has postponed two more stops on its Wildworld Tour as member Megan Skiendiel recovers from a concussion. The global girl group announced on Thursday, November 5, 2026, that its shows at Chicago’s United Center and Minneapolis’ Target Center would not go ahead as planned. The decision came just hours before the Chicago concert was set to begin, and days after a last-minute postponement in Detroit left fans frustrated and confused.
The news marks the third consecutive show affected by Skiendiel’s health, painting a difficult picture for a group already navigating a reduced lineup and a demanding touring schedule.
The Concussion That Changed the Tour Schedule
KATSEYE was scheduled to perform at Chicago’s United Center on November 5 and at Minneapolis’ Target Center on November 7. The Chicago venue announced the postponement hours before doors were set to open, telling ticket holders not to travel to the arena. A similar message followed from the Minneapolis venue.
The group later clarified the reason in an Instagram Stories post. “The label has made the decision to postpone our shows in Chicago and Minneapolis as Megan is recovering from a concussion,” the statement read. The group also apologized directly to fans who had traveled long distances. “We are incredibly sorry to disappoint our fans. We know how much you’ve been looking forward to these shows, and that many of you have traveled long distances to be there. We don’t take that lightly, and we’re truly sorry for the disappointment”.
Ticketholders were told to hold onto their tickets and VIP packages, with rescheduled dates to be announced soon. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend the new dates.
Megan Skiendiel Speaks Out: “I’m Doing Everything I Possibly Can”
Megan Skiendiel, 20, addressed the situation personally through her own Instagram Stories on November 6. The message was direct and apologetic. “I currently have a concussion, and am doing everything I possibly can to recover from it so I can be on stage for you all again,” she wrote.
She also explained that the decision to postpone was not taken lightly. “I wanted to perform, but my medical team advised me to return safely only after I have fully recovered,” she said, adding that she was “strictly advised by medical professionals to recover fully before returning to the stage to ensure her safety”.
Skiendiel apologized to fans in Detroit, Chicago, and Minneapolis and promised to return to the stage once she is cleared. Her fellow touring membersโDaniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, and Yoonchae Jeungโalso shared a letter to fans, explaining that they had looked for ways to perform as a trio but were unable to proceed due to circumstances beyond their control.
Detroit’s Last-Minute Cancellation and Fan Backlash
The concussion revelation followed a chaotic week for KATSEYE and its fans. On Tuesday, November 3, the group postponed its sold-out show at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena just 30 minutes before the scheduled 8 p.m. start time. Many fans were already inside the arena when the cancellation was displayed on the venue’s screens.
The initial statement cited that Skiendiel was “unwell and unable to perform” and needed time to rest and recover. At the time, the specific nature of her condition was not disclosed.
The timing of the Detroit cancellation drew sharp criticism from parents who had spent significant money on travel, hotels, and VIP tickets. Jessica Lenhardt, a mother from Skokie, Illinois, drove five and a half hours with her two daughters, ages 8 and 10, and estimated she spent around $5,000 on the trip. “It was shocking that they went through and kind of kept our hopes up until a few minutes before the show,” Lenhardt told FOX 2 Detroit. “If things were going wrong since the morning or even a day before, we should’ve been notified maybe 24 hours at least in advance”.
Another mother, Megan Schikora, described the scene inside the arena to the Detroit News. “So many kids in LCA, simultaneously, just burst into tears. They were all crying. It was so awful and it was so sad,” she said.
Reactions online were split. Some fans expressed anger over the late notice, while others defended the group and urged management to prioritize the members’ health. “Glad they postponed the show and prioritized the members but i do feel so bad for everyone that was excited to see them tonight,” one fan wrote on X. Others called for the entire tour to be paused. “HxG NEED TO STOP THIS TOUR IMMEDIATELY AND LET ALL THE GIRLS REST FOR A COUPLE MONTHS,” another fan posted.
A Tour Already Running on a Reduced Lineup
The concussion is the latest in a series of health issues that have disrupted KATSEYE’s first arena tour. The six-member groupโformed through a joint project between HYBE and Geffen Recordsโhas been performing as a quartet for months.
Sophia Laforteza announced in August 2026 that she would step back from promotional activities to focus on her mental health. She is expected to return in January 2027. Manon Bannerman has been on a temporary hiatus since February 2026, and no return date has been announced.
Skiendiel herself has dealt with multiple health setbacks this year. In August, KATSEYE withdrew from Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival after she sprained her ankle during tour rehearsal. More recently, she and Daniela Avanzini missed the preshow soundcheck and VIP events at an October 28 concert in Boston due to illness, though both performed in the main show. Unverified reports also circulated online claiming Skiendiel passed out backstage before the Detroit concert.
