CBS has officially locked in its fall 2026 premiere schedule, giving viewers the return dates for some of television’s biggest shows. The network announced its full primetime lineup for the 2026-2027 season, with Premiere Week officially kicking off on Sunday, October 4. The fall schedule includes the highly watched returns of Marshals Season 2, Tracker Season 4, and the NCIS franchise, along with several new series making their debut.
The announcement comes as CBS prepares for a busy autumn, with reality competitions starting in September before the scripted dramas and comedies take over in October. All programs will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
Premiere Week Begins Sunday, October 4
CBS Premiere Week starts with a strong Sunday lineup. The evening begins with NFL on CBS at 7:00 PM ET, followed by the 59th season premiere of 60 Minutes at 7:30 PM ET. Then comes the main event for many viewers.
Marshals Season 2 premieres at 8:30 PM ET on October 4. The Yellowstone spinoff, starring Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, moves to a new timeslot for its premiere before settling into its regular 8:00 PM slot starting October 11. The show had a strong first season, becoming the highest-rated series on CBS for the 2025-2026 TV season.
Following Marshals, Tracker Season 4 airs at 9:30 PM ET. The Justin Hartley-led drama returns with new cases for Colter Shaw to solve. Both Marshals and Tracker were the two most watched shows on network television last season, excluding live sports.
Monday Brings FBI and CIA to New Times
Monday, October 5 features a drama-packed evening with some scheduling changes. FBI Season 9 kicks off at 8:00 PM ET. The CIA Season 2 follows at 9:00 PM ET, moving up an hour from its previous slot. The night concludes with Harlan Coben’s Final Twist Season 2 at 10:00 PM ET.
This new Monday block creates a stronger drama lineup for the network, with FBI and CIA now airing earlier in the evening.
Tuesday Belongs to NCIS Franchise
Tuesday, October 6 is all about the NCIS universe. The network has scheduled an all-NCIS night from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM ET.
The flagship series NCIS Season 24 premieres at 8:00 PM ET. Following that, the franchise expands with the series premiere of NCIS: New York at 9:00 PM ET. The night wraps up with NCIS: Origins Season 3 at 10:00 PM ET.
NCIS: New York is the newest addition to the NCIS franchise, joining the network’s Tuesday night lineup between the mothership series and Origins.
Thursday Brings New Comedies and Dramas
Thursday, October 8 features a mix of returning favorites and brand new series. Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Season 3 begins at 8:00 PM ET. The comedy, which was television’s number one comedy last season, brings back Montana Jordan and Emily Osment in their leading roles.
At 8:30 PM ET comes the series premiere of Eternally Yours, a new vampire comedy from the team behind Ghosts. Elsbeth Season 4 follows at 9:00 PM ET in a new timeslot. The night ends with the series premiere of Cupertino, a new legal drama, at 10:00 PM ET.
Friday Keeps Its Action Lineup
Friday, October 9 brings back three popular Jerry Bruckheimer Television-produced dramas. Sheriff Country Season 2 starts at 8:00 PM ET, followed by Fire Country Season 5 at 9:00 PM ET, and Boston Blue Season 2 at 10:00 PM ET.
Reality TV Kicks Off in September
Before Premiere Week begins, CBS has scheduled several reality television premieres in September. Survivor Season 51 premieres on Wednesday, September 23, with a two-hour episode at 8:00 PM ET. The Amazing Race Season 39 follows on Wednesday, September 30, at 9:30 PM ET.
The 28th season finale of Big Brother airs on Thursday, October 1, at 8:00 PM ET.
Ghosts Holiday Specials Coming This Fall
While Ghosts Season 6 is being held for a midseason premiere in early 2027, fans will still get to see the beloved comedy this fall. CBS has scheduled two special two-episode events.
A Halloween special airs on Thursday, October 29, at 9:00 PM ET. A Christmas special, titled “Ghostsmas,” follows on Thursday, December 10, at 9:00 PM ET.

Several shows are not part of the fall schedule but will return at midseason. Along with Ghosts Season 6, Matlock Season 3 and NCIS: Sydney are being held for midseason premieres. The new series Einstein will also debut at midseason.
