Coronation Street delivers one of its busiest weeks of 2026 from Monday, October 26 to Friday, October 30, with five storylines colliding across the cobbles. Adam Barlow‘s proposal to Alya Nazir goes wrong before it even starts. Bethany Platt‘s pregnancy is exposed by a bottle of folic acid. Tyrone Dobbs throws a punch at Chesney Winter-Brown after being pushed by his father Ross Wilkes. Sally Metcalfe spends Halloween fearing an escaped prisoner, then hits an intruder with a vase. And Christina Boyd discovers evidence that changes what everyone believed about her daughter Rachel‘s past. The episodes air on ITV1 at 8:30pm each weeknight and stream on ITVX.
What Happened Previously
Adam had been planning a romantic proposal to Alya at the Chariot Square Hotel. Debbie Webster was working at the hotel and got caught in a mix-up involving Paula, Debbie’s former cellmate, who returned to Weatherfield earlier in October. Bethany slept with Kit Green, her mother Sarah Platt‘s ex-boyfriend, while Sarah was on remand. Bethany discovered she was pregnant in the week before this one but had not told Kit. Tyrone‘s father Ross arrived in Weatherfield and began driving a wedge between Tyrone and his family. Sally and Tim Metcalfe were caring for Lucy Parkinson, the daughter of Tim’s cousin Richie, who was in prison accused of murdering his wife Rachel. Christina had realised that Rachel was her long-lost daughter and was trying to build a relationship with Lucy.
Debbie’s Mistake Costs Adam His Proposal
Paula returns to the Chariot Square Hotel and plays on Debbie‘s confusion. Debbie is still recovering from a previous health scare and struggles with memory. Paula convinces Debbie that she is staying in Room 108, so Debbie hands over the key. That is the same room Adam has booked for his proposal to Alya.
Adam leads Alya into the room and reaches for the engagement ring. It is gone. He storms into reception and lashes out at Debbie for ruining the moment. Debbie realises what happened, tracks Paula down, and gets the ring back.
The proposal still happens. At the Rovers Return Halloween party, Adam gets down on one knee and asks Alya to marry him. She says yes, and the couple celebrates with their families.
Ryan Learns Bethany Is Pregnant
Ryan Connor calls at the Redbank Apartments and finds Bethany looking pale and tired. She blames a hangover, then rushes to the bathroom to be sick. Ryan spots folic acid tablets in her bag and asks the question directly.
Bethany admits she is pregnant. The baby is the result of a one-night stand, and she does not name the father to Ryan. Ryan responds with kindness, telling her she will be a great mum. Later in the week, he looks after her when nausea hits again and prepares food for her.
The father is Kit Green, Sarah’s ex. Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany, said her reaction to the storyline was immediate.
“My jaw was on the floor.” — Lucy Fallon, speaking about Bethany’s pregnancy plot
Fallon also said the story is “not going to end well”.
Tyrone Punches Chesney After Ross Pushes Him
Tyrone finds a bruise on Dorin and hears the boy say Aled Winter-Brown punched him. Ross fuels the suspicion and goads Tyrone into confronting Chesney and Gemma about Aled’s alleged bullying.
Tyrone tells the Winter-Browns that Dorin will not attend the quads’ party. Ross arrives and stokes the tension further. Tyrone, desperate to prove to his father that he is not a pushover, punches Chesney.
The regret is instant. Ross backs him up instead of calming him down. Later, Fiz urges Tyrone to apologise at the Rovers Halloween party, but Ross’s influence keeps pulling him away from making things right.
Sally’s Halloween Horror and Lucy’s Accusations
Lucy wants to attend a Halloween party at her friend Kayla‘s house. Sally refuses when she learns Kayla’s parents will be away. Tim tries to smooth things over, and the Metcalfes persuade Lucy to go to the Rovers party with Joanie Michaelis instead.
Joanie is worried about a riot at her father Mick‘s prison. Sally and Tim play down the news. Alone at home, Sally hears noises and sees what looks like a ghost at the window. She fears Mick has escaped again because he has done it before. The landline rings twice with no answer, then the power cuts out.
A figure creeps up behind Sally. She grabs a vase and strikes the intruder over the head. The episode leaves the identity of the person on the floor unanswered.
The fallout comes fast. A social worker named Ruth arrives after Lucy contacts her. Lucy has been keeping a journal that describes Sally as controlling and accuses her of saying nasty things behind her back. Sally and Tim are horrified.
Lucy believes Sally will finally face consequences. She confides in Christina on Maxine Peacock‘s memorial bench about how she feels.
Christina Finds Evidence Against Richie
Christina has been carrying a keyring with photos of her daughters. She admits to George Shuttleworth that she feels she failed Rachel.
At the precinct, Lucy shows Christina family videos on her phone. Christina spots Richie in the background behaving abusively towards Rachel. She rushes away in distress and accidentally drops her keyring.
Lucy finds the photograph of her mother among Christina’s belongings and demands an explanation. Christina has to answer without revealing what she has discovered. That night, she tells George the footage suggests Richie abused Rachel, not the other way around.
Summer Stands by Marco as He Goes to Prison
Adam and Alya break the news to Summer Spellman that Marco Rhodes lost his case and was sent straight from remand to Highfield Prison. Summer visits him and promises to stand by him, help with his appeal, and support him until he is free.
She later meets Amy Barlow and Asha Alahan and makes clear she will stay loyal to Marco despite his legal troubles. Marco is a new arrival in Weatherfield and an aspiring tattoo artist who caught Summer’s eye earlier in 2026.
Idris Sets His Sights on Underworld
Idris Nazir challenges Carla Connor over his inconsiderate parking, and his charm does nothing to win her over. He tells Leanne Battersby that with the Viaduct Bistro deal off the table, he may try to buy the Underworld factory. Leanne warns him that Carla will never sell.
Carla confides in Lisa that the factory’s sales figures look grim. Lisa points out that her salary could support them if needed, but Carla takes the comment badly. Idris overhears them discussing the financial problems at the Rovers and suggests a rebrand. Carla rejects his advice, and Lisa is left amused as Idris walks away.
Daniel Fights to Save School Land
Daniel Osbourne and Amy hand out flyers at the precinct to raise awareness of plans to seize land at Weathy High. Daniel feels frustrated by the lack of progress. Later, Ken, Daniel, Tracy, Amy, Adam, and Alya celebrate the engagement. Daniel admits his petition has been a disaster and says he is struggling to get people on board. Ken suggests Daniel write an article for the Weatherfield Gazette to bring the issue to a wider audience.

Tyrone Dobbs punched Chesney under Ross’s influence and spent the rest of the week avoiding an apology.
