Marvel comics fans know the name Danielle Cage. In the comic books, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage have a daughter together. The child grows up to become a hero in her own right. In some future stories, she becomes the new Captain America.
Mike Colter played Luke Cage in his own Netflix series. Recent set photos from Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 filming have confirmed that Colter will return to the role. This makes the connection even stronger. If Jessica Jones has a daughter in the MCU, Luke Cage is the most likely father.
The Netflix shows never showed Jessica Jones being pregnant. All of this happened off screen between the end of her series and her return in Daredevil: Born Again. Fans will have to wait to learn the full story.

The trailer also includes footage from The Punisher: One Last Kill. This is a special presentation starring Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle. It will stream on Disney+ on May 12, 2026. Bernthal does not appear in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 itself. The trailer simply used footage from his upcoming special to tease what is coming next.
