Days of our Lives Spoilers October 12 to 16: Sophia Returns, Kristen Schemes, Joy’s Secret Under Threat

Days of our Lives is lining up a week full of secrets, schemes, and surprise comebacks in Salem. From Monday, October 12 to Friday, October 16, 2026, two troublemakers are heading back to town, a medical mystery is close to being exposed, and a long-buried family secret is about to shake up the DiMera family.

Here is everything happening in Salem this week.

Sophia Choi Returns to Salem With a Dangerous Deal

Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) is alive and back in Salem after everyone believed she was gone since May. Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) tracked her down to a diner in Paducah, Kentucky, where Sophia had been working as a waitress under the name Amelia. Kristen convinced Sophia to return to Salem by striking a deal with her on Monday, October 12.

Sophia is seen looking nervous in Horton Town Square, especially when Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) walks right past her. The last time these two crossed paths, Sophia tried to end Johnny’s life, so her return carries serious risk. Sophia appears to want to keep her presence a secret for now, and her homecoming could affect several people, including Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis), and Mason Whitfield (Brandon Butler).

Kristen Sneaks In to See Rachel

Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) gets alarming news about Kristen from Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), who warns him to be careful where Kristen is concerned. Kristen returns to Salem from Paducah, and on Friday, October 16, she risks everything to sneak in a secret visit with her daughter Rachel Black (Lorelei Olivia Mote). Brady knows Rachel needs her mother, but he is also horrified by what he has learned about Kristen’s recent actions.

Stephanie Suspects Joy Is Faking Her Paralysis

Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) has been pretending to be paralyzed, and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) is more suspicious than ever. On Monday, October 12, Stephanie opens the door to Alex’s apartment just as Joy quickly returns to her wheelchair. Joy angrily accuses Stephanie of violating the restraining order and not believing she can care for her own child, Kelsey.

Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) steps in and defends Stephanie, leading to a tense argument. Alex eventually tells Joy the living situation is not working out, which catches Joy off guard. Joy quickly backtracks and apologizes, blaming her mood on frustration. Alex makes it clear that Stephanie will no longer be treated as an afterthought. Stephanie later shares her suspicions with Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans), who has also noticed that Joy’s nerve test results and her tired, slurred behavior seem off.

EJ Drops a Family Bombshell on Chad

EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) has news for his brother Chad DiMera (Conner Floyd): Dominic Marino may be their brother, and possibly the son of Stefano DiMera and Marlena Evans. That would mean Chad, EJ, Belle Black (Martha Madison), and Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) share a sibling.

Chad wants answers and goes head-to-head with EJ in a heated confrontation on Tuesday, October 13. Chad and Belle then decide to work together to uncover the truth about Dominic. Meanwhile, Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) is under hypnosis and opens up to Marlena about her feelings for EJ. Marlena asks Cat if she might be falling in love with him. EJ later offers Cat her old job back as his assistant on Wednesday, October 14, which was part of her plan all along, but now she is not sure what to do.

The Kiriakis Mansion Fight Continues

Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers), Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow), Brady, Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier), Xander Cook (Paul Telfer), and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) are still fighting to save the Kiriakis mansion. On Tuesday, October 13, Xander and Philip make one final plea to stop the sale. A home inspector named Hank (Giovanni Mocibob) also arrives to check the mansion, which could bring new problems for the family. Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) puts Philip in an awkward position on Wednesday, October 14.
