Dylan O’Brien recently shared that the connection with his former Teen Wolf co-stars remains strong, following a surprise reunion with actress Arden Cho. The actors, who worked together on the hit MTV series for several years, met by chance at an awards show earlier this month, sparking conversations about the show’s lasting legacy and the real friendships formed on set.
A Surprise Reunion at the 2026 Astra Film Awards
The unexpected meeting happened at the 2026 Astra Film Awards in Los Angeles on January 9. Both O’Brien and Cho were at the event to receive awards. O’Brien was honored with the Game Changer Award and was also nominated for Best Actor for his role in the film Twinless. Cho won the award for Best Voice Over Performance for her work in K-Pop Demon Hunters.
For O’Brien, it was the first time he had seen Cho in nearly a decade. The pair had not crossed paths since their time working on Teen Wolf ended.
โOh, it was awesome,โ O’Brien said when asked about the reunion. โYeah, I havenโt seen her in, God, maybe 9 or 10 years. So, yeah, itโs really cool. I always really liked Arden.โ
The event served as a small, impromptu gathering for the two actors, reminding fans of the show’s era and the characters they played. O’Brien portrayed Stiles Stilinski for all six seasons of the series from 2011 to 2017. Cho joined the show later, playing Kira Yukimura in the third, fourth, and fifth seasons.
Dylan O’Brien Reflects on Lasting Teen Wolf Friendships
In a conversation the day after the awards, O’Brien expanded on his feelings about the Teen Wolf cast as a whole. He made it clear that the bond formed during the show’s production is unique and enduring.
โAnytime I see anyone from Teen Wolf, itโs awesome,โ he stated simply.
When asked directly if the cast members have stayed close over the years, O’Brien confirmed the lasting nature of their relationships. He pointed to the shared experience of making the show as the foundation for a permanent connection.
โOh, yeah, there always will be,โ he said. โNothing can replace those types of experiences.โ
This recent reunion with Cho is not an isolated event for O’Brien. Just last fall, he was publicly seen with his former on-screen best friend, Tyler Posey, who played Scott McCall. O’Brien supported Posey at the Los Angeles premiere of his movie. Furthermore, in June 2025, a larger group of four cast members came together for a panel and fan discussion at a festival in Monaco.
The Teen Wolf Pack’s Ongoing Connection
The cast’s willingness to reunite publicly and support each other’s projects highlights a genuine off-screen friendship. Following the Astra Awards, fans on social media expressed excitement over seeing the two actors together again. A post about the reunion on a major magazine’s Facebook page gathered numerous likes and shares, with comments showing fan nostalgia for the show.
