Kitty responds, “I like to dance.” But the audience sees the truth. She never dances. She is covered in bruises. The show uses Kitty to shine a light on human trafficking and the dark reality behind some strip clubs. Rue recognizes that Kitty is trapped, but Kitty seems too scared or broken to accept help.
