Prime Video just dropped its new romantic drama series Every Year After on June 10, 2026. The show adapts Carley Fortune’s bestselling book Every Summer After and tells the story of Percy and Sam, two childhood friends who fall in love over six summers in a small lake town called Barry’s Bay.
The eight-episode season follows Percy as she returns home after a family tragedy and faces the boy she left behind years ago. Many viewers are already spotting familiar faces in the cast. Here is where you have seen these actors before.
Sadie Soverall Plays Percy Fraser
Sadie Soverall takes on the lead role of Persephone “Percy” Fraser. Percy works as an obituary writer and has lost her spark by the time she comes back to Barry’s Bay.
Soverall played Beatrix in the Netflix series Fate: The Winx Saga for thirteen episodes. She also appeared as Annabel in the psychological thriller Saltburn opposite Jacob Elordi and Barry Keoghan. Her movie credits include Arcadian, where she starred with Nicolas Cage, and Finding Emily. On television, she also performed in The Gathering on Channel 4.
Matt Cornett Plays Sam Florek
Matt Cornett plays Sam Florek, Percy’s childhood sweetheart who is now a doctor with a girlfriend. Sam carries heavy emotional weight from his past.
Cornett is best known for playing E.J. Caswell in Disney+’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. He also appeared as A-Lan in Zombies 3. His other work includes Summer of 69 on Hulu with Chloe Fineman, plus recurring roles on Life in Pieces, The Goldbergs, The Middle, and Southland.
Young Versions of Percy and Sam
Juliette Hawk plays Young Percy. Hawk has appeared in Hallmark and Lifetime Christmas movies including Snowed in for Christmas, Magic in Mistletoe, and A Christmas Star.
Blue Clarke plays Young Sam. Clarke’s credits include Where The Crawdads Sing and the Apple TV+ series Black Bird.
Elisha Cuthbert Plays Sue Florek
Elisha Cuthbert plays Sue Florek, Sam and Charlie’s mother. Her death is the reason Percy returns to Barry’s Bay.
Cuthbert starred in early 2000s hits like The Girl Next Door, Old School, and Love Actually. She played Kim Bauer on the Fox action drama 24 for several seasons. Fans also know her as Alex Kerkovich on the comedy series Happy Endings. She also appeared in The Ranch on Netflix and the horror movie House of Wax.
Abigail Cowen Plays Delilah
Abigail Cowen plays Delilah, Percy’s childhood friend who never left Barry’s Bay. Delilah is now married but still holds feelings for Charlie.
Cowen worked with Soverall before on Fate: The Winx Saga, where she played the lead role of Bloom. She also played Dorcas on Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and appeared on Stranger Things season two as Hawkins student Vicki Carmichael. Her horror film credits include The Ritual with Al Pacino and Dan Stevens, plus Witch Hunt and Redeeming Love.
Aurora Perrineau Plays Chantal
Aurora Perrineau plays Chantal, Percy’s best friend in adulthood. Chantal is a lawyer who is engaged and travels to Barry’s Bay to support Percy.
Perrineau joined season four of HBO’s Westworld and appeared in Ava DuVernay’s When They See Us on Netflix. She also starred in the Netflix series Kaos and played on Prodigal Son. Her father is actor Harold Perrineau from Lost and Romeo + Juliet. She made her breakout playing Shana in Jem and the Holograms.
Michael Bradway Plays Charlie Florek
Michael Bradway plays Charlie Florek, Sam’s older brother.
Bradway appeared as Jack Damon on Chicago Fire, where his character was later revealed to be Kelly Severide’s half-brother. He also played Gabe Davenport in the romantic drama Marked Men: Rule + Shaw from director Nick Cassavetes, plus Reeves in Safe House.
Joseph Chiu Plays Jordie
Joseph Chiu plays Jordie, one of Sam’s friends who runs the local motel.
Chiu appeared in Fear Street: Prom Queen on Netflix and the Prime Video series Motorheads. He also acted in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy and The Miniature Wife.
Carson MacCormac Plays Young Charlie
Carson MacCormac plays the younger version of Charlie Florek. MacCormac played a bully in both Shazam and Shazam: Fury of the Gods. He also played Zach in My Life with the Walter Boys on Netflix and appeared in horror films Clown in a Cornfield and This is Not a Test in 2025.
