How to Read These Manga on Crunchyroll
Crunchyroll Manga works as a premium add-on service for existing Crunchyroll subscribers. The service costs extra on top of a regular Crunchyroll membership. Readers can access the manga library through the dedicated Crunchyroll Manga app on iOS and Android devices. The service also works through web browsers at Crunchyroll.com/manga. The current version of the service launched on October 9, 2025, and is available in the United States and Canada.
โWe’re delighted to offer fans a selection of incredible manga from Kodansha on Crunchyroll Manga, bringing our current library to more than 400 titles,โ said Asa Suehira, Chief Content Officer at Crunchyroll.
What Makes A Silent Voice and Fairy Tail Special
A Silent Voice, created by Yoshitoki ลima, tells the story of Shoya Ishida, a boy who bullied a deaf classmate named Shoko Nishimiya in elementary school. Years later, Shoya lives with deep guilt and isolation. He finds Shoko to make amends. The manga won awards and inspired a 2016 anime movie from Kyoto Animation that gained worldwide attention.
Fairy Tail, created by Hiro Mashima, follows the adventures of Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlet, and their fellow mages in the rowdy Fairy Tail guild. The original manga ran from 2006 to 2017. A sequel series, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, continues with art by Atsuo Ueda. The franchise celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026. Mashima is drawing a new special chapter for Weekly Shonen Magazine on July 29, 2026, marking his return to illustrating the series directly.
