The wait for new adventures in the Wasteland is over. Fallout Season 2 has officially arrived, but with a last-minute schedule change that moved the premiere up by a day. The first episode is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. Unlike the first season’s binge release, the new season will follow a weekly schedule, with the season finale set for February 4, 2026.
Fallout Season 2 Episode 1 Release Time and Schedule
The release of the first episode came as a surprise. Originally planned for Wednesday, December 17, Amazon moved the premiere to Tuesday, December 16, 2025, citing fan demand. The episode went live at 6:00 PM Pacific Time (PT).
For viewers around the world, this translated to:
- 9:00 PM Eastern Time (ET)
- 2:00 AM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on Wednesday, December 17
- 3:00 AM Central European Summer Time (CEST)
- 1:00 PM Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT)
The announcement was made in a big way, displayed on the massive Exosphere of the Sphere in Las Vegasโa fitting location since the new season’s story is set in New Vegas. The display featured characters like Lucy, The Ghoul, and Maximus inside a post-apocalyptic snow globe, with a Deathclaw trying to break out.
“Well, well, looks like Christmas came early,” the official Fallout account teased on social media alongside the announcement.
After the premiere, the remaining seven episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays. The release time for episodes 2 through 8 will shift to 12:00 AM PT / 3:00 AM ET.

What’s Different in Season 2?
The most immediate change viewers will notice is the shift to a weekly release schedule. The entire first season was released at once in April 2024, allowing for a binge-watch. For Season 2, Amazon has opted for a traditional weekly model, with one episode releasing each week. This format is a return to what the show’s producers have called a “retro” TV viewing experience.
The first season was a major hit for Amazon Prime Video. According to Nielsen ratings, it became the streaming service’s most successful program soon after its debut. It also earned critical praise, scoring a 96% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
Season 2 is set to explore a beloved location from the video game series: New Vegas. The story takes place roughly 15 years after the events of the Fallout: New Vegas game. The season promises to bring more elements from the games to the screen, including terrifying creatures like Deathclaws, radscorpions, and the return of Lucy’s canine companion, Dogmeat.
