“They are gonna be another bunch of tone deaf dancers…
On June 4, HYBE Labels made a post on their audition account on Weverse announcing that they would be hosting global auditions for their next boy group.
The “2024 BIGHIT MUSIC Global Audition Pop-Up Event” is scheduled to happen on Sunday, June 9 at The Source OC in Orange County, California, and will include other activities and games beside the auditions to encourage other K-Pop fans to attend the event as well.

Since it seems that the auditions are specifically for BIGHIT MUSIC, this could be for the first boy group to come from the label since TXT debuted in 2019. And while that’s exciting news for many, there are also several reasons why people are also clowning on HYBE for trying to find new trainees.
One of those reasons has to do with Trainee A, the pre-debut boy group that had been speculated to be under BIGHIT MUSIC. While they had a lot of anticipation for their debut throughout 2021 and 2022, they ended up disbanding before they even debuted in late 2022 for unknown reasons. Because of this disappointment, fans have some wariness over how a new group of trainees would be treated.
There’s also the additional drama and scandals happening at HYBE Labels right now, especially regarding the live vocals of many of their idols. With so much criticism being aimed at artists like LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT, there are already jokes being made that any new trainees wouldn’t get proper singing lessons before they debuted, or that they would be a “tone-deaf” dance group.
Here are some of the comments people are making regarding these new auditions.
