Episode 19, titled “Rain Check for Tomorrow,” aired on CBS on May 15, 2026. The episode balanced high-risk water rescues with heavy personal decisions, especially for Bode Leone (Max Thieriot) , who chose to surrender to police for a decade-old crime.

The trouble started when a fire broke out at a substation near Pineville Dam. Firefighters had to shut down power and water to handle the blaze. But cutting the water flow created a dangerous backup.

Manny Perez (Kevin Alejandro) went to check the dam and spotted a serious problem. The water pressure was building up with nowhere to go. When the dam’s systems failed, floodwaters started rushing toward the town.

At the same time, Sharon Leone (Diane Farr) got a call about a worker stuck high up on a transformer platform. She needed the power shut down to save him. Bode climbed up to stabilize the injured man and pack his wounds while the crew worked to lower them safely.

One of the inmates from Three Rock started an unauthorized backburn that threatened to hit the power house. Eve Edwards (Jules Latimer) called Station 42 for help containing the fire before it made everything worse.

The dam is restarted against advice. Eve gets in touch with Manny and tells him the dam has been restarted. Eve warns them of a flood.

The call came too late. Water surrounded Danny Marks’ (Mike O’Malley) cabin as Bode and Jake Crawford (Jordan Calloway) tried to convince him to leave. The three of them got trapped inside with floodwaters rising fast.

Bode Makes Life-Changing Choice About His Past

While the dam disaster unfolded, Bode dealt with a personal crisis he could no longer avoid. Danny Marks, a man Bode attacked ten years ago when he was struggling with addiction, demanded only one thing: Bode must turn himself in to the police.

Danny felt he left him for dead. It doesn’t matter the situation or that Bode was high when he did it. What mattered was that Danny didn’t feel safe. He later told Bode that the only way he’ll feel safe was if Bode turned himself in to the police.

Danny wrote down the police department’s phone number and handed it to Bode. He wanted Bode to confess to the crime from ten years ago. Chloe MacKenzie (Alona Tal) argued against it, but Bode knew this was his only chance to make things right.

Bode called the police and confessed. Sharon supported her son’s decision but believed he would come back home after resolving the situation. She did not expect him to turn himself in during the same hours she was pulling off dangerous rescues at the dam.

On the rescue platform, Bode froze when the injured worker asked if he would survive. He could not promise the man he would get back to his wife. That moment shook Bode deeply.

Manny told Bode to hire a lawyer and fight for himself this time instead of just accepting punishment. But Bode already made his choice.

Eve Faces Rejection While Jake Worries About His Brother

Jake’s wedding was coming up fast. The happy couple were already dancing before their big day, clearly in love. Eve wanted to bring Eleanor Davis (Shailene Garnett) as her date to make their relationship official.

Bode pointed out that Eleanor was already invited to the wedding separately. But Eve wanted to use the event as a “soft launch” for their relationship. When Eve asked Eleanor to attend as a couple, the answer broke her hopes.

Eleanor states that she thought they were just fooling around. She also feels that Eve is not over her past relationship.

Jake had his own problems. His brother Malcolm joined Station 42 because Jake pulled strings to get him the job. But Jake heard from his fiancé that the firm in charge of CalFire thought Malcolm was a liability.

Malcolm made mistake after mistake during his first shift. Jake had to step in and fix his errors at the dam fire. Jake blew his top in front of Violet Mitchell (Nesta Cooper) while defending his brother. Violet was not sure where their fight left their relationship.

Manny rushed to the hospital when the flood hit. His girlfriend Camille Thurston (Natalie Zea) was watching over his ex-wife Roberta Perez (Paola Núñez) , who was recovering from an aneurysm. Manny tried to convince Roberta to move to another hospital before the water reached them.

What Happened Inside Danny’s Cabin

Bode and Jake went to Danny’s cabin to convince him to leave before the flood hit. But Danny refused to go. He had lived in isolation since Bode attacked him, too scared to face the outside world.

Bode and Jake were about to step out when the water levels rose suddenly. They had to take shelter inside the cabin with Danny as the flood surrounded them. There was no way to escape.

The episode ended with water rising around the cabin and no rescue in sight. Whether Bode, Jake, and Danny survive the flood will be answered in the season finale.
