The NBC drama Found has a new home. Both seasons of the show, cancelled in May 2025, are now available to watch on Netflix in the United States . All 35 episodes from the two-season series arrived on the platform on January 2, 2026 . The show’s arrival on Netflix has already sparked a surge in viewership, landing it a spot in the platform’s daily Top 10 most-watched series list .

The series features a unique and tense premise. Shanola Hampton stars as Gabrielle “Gabi” Mosely, a crisis manager who leads a team dedicated to finding missing people from marginalized communities often overlooked by the system . Gabi’s own past as a kidnapping victim drives her work. In a shocking twist, she secretly holds her former kidnapper, Hugh “Sir” Evans, played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar, captive in her basement . Gabi uses his criminal mind to help solve the team’s weekly cases, creating a complex and morally ambiguous relationship at the show’s core .

What Found Is About and Who Is in the Cast

Created by Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Found is more than a standard crime procedural. While Gabi and her team tackle a new missing persons case each week, the show is equally focused on their personal traumas and the overarching story of Gabi’s connection to Sir .

The main cast includes Kelli Williams as Margaret Reed, a team member obsessively searching for her own missing son; Brett Dalton as Detective Mark Trent; Gabrielle Walsh as Lacey Quinn, a law student and fellow survivor of Sir; Arlen Escarpeta as tech expert Zeke Wallace; and Karan Oberoi as security specialist Dhan Rana .

The series was described by critics as “extremely binge-able” and “a wild ride from start to finish with curveballs that we wouldn’t see coming” .

Why NBC Cancelled the Show After Two Seasons

Found premiered on NBC in October 2023 and was initially a breakout hit for the network, becoming its top new series launch at the time . Despite a compelling story and strong fan support, the show’s linear television ratings declined during its second season, which aired from October 2024 to May 2025 . This led NBC to cancel the drama in May 2025 as part of broader schedule changes, which included making room for extensive NBA programming .

The cancellation disappointed a dedicated fan base, who created online petitions in an effort to save the series .

How Found Is Performing on Netflix and Future Possibilities

The move to Netflix offers the series a significant second chance to find an audience. Its performance has been strong right out of the gate. Shortly after its debut on the platform, Found climbed to become the #7 most-watched TV series on Netflix in the United States, ranking alongside major Netflix originals like Stranger Things and Emily in Paris .

This success on streaming naturally leads fans to wonder if Netflix could revive the show for a third season, a move the service has made for other cancelled network series like Manifest and Lucifer . However, reports from July 2025 indicated that efforts to shop the series to other outlets had ended, making a revival currently unlikely . The show’s sustained popularity on Netflix could potentially change this outlook, but for now, the two available seasons represent the complete series .
