G-Dragon recently opened up about BIGBANG’s upcoming 20th anniversary, expressing his wish for a meaningful celebration even without T.O.P and Seungri. The K-pop star’s heartfelt words have touched fans worldwide.
On May 14, G-Dragon appeared on the YouTube show Halmyungsoo, hosted by comedian Park Myung-soo. The episode, titled “(SUB) G-DRAGON ♥ Min Dragon – Reuniting After 14 Years,” brought back memories of BIGBANG’s early days. Park mentioned the 20th anniversary of Infinite Challenge, a show that helped boost BIGBANG’s fame.
G-Dragon responded warmly, saying:
“Since we debuted around the same time – we even celebrated our 10th anniversaries around a similar period.”
This highlighted the long connection between the legendary variety show and BIGBANG.
When asked about his favorite BIGBANG song, G-Dragon did not pick a hit track. Instead, he chose “Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter” for its personal meaning.
“Every song feels like a diary to me. When I listen to them, they bring back all the memories. They all mean something to me.”
The conversation turned emotional when G-Dragon spoke about BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary.
“We never thought we’d hit 20, so it feels really meaningful. I just hope we can find a way for all of us to be together.”
While he did not name anyone, fans understood this as a reference to T.O.P and Seungri, who are no longer part of the group.
Park Myung-soo joked about the anniversary, saying:
“I love BIGBANG’s songs so much. If you guys don’t do something for your 20th, I won’t stay quiet. I’ll seriously file a complaint.”
This made G-Dragon laugh, lightening the mood.
Earlier, on Jung Hyung-don’s YouTube show, G-Dragon mentioned his past collaborations, including the song “ZUTTER” with T.O.P. He also talked about sub-units like GD & T.O.P and GD & Taeyang, stirring deep emotions among fans.
This was the first time G-Dragon publicly spoke about T.O.P since the drug scandal that caused major controversy.
Fans are now hopeful for a special reunion, even if not all members can participate. BIGBANG’s legacy remains strong, and G-Dragon’s words have reignited excitement for their 20th anniversary.
