G-Dragon, the famous K-pop star, recently shared his thoughts on retirement during an appearance on Park Myung Soo’s YouTube show. The BigBang leader, who is now 36, made it clear that he has no plans to stop making music anytime soon.
During the show, Park Myung Soo asked G-Dragon how long he plans to continue his career. G-Dragon responded by saying he hasn’t thought about retiring. He explained that as a musician, his career isn’t entirely in his control because he still feels inspired and passionate about music.
Park Myung Soo, who has known G-Dragon for years, praised his mindset. He said G-Dragon should not set limits for himself and should keep going as long as he enjoys it. The comedian also shared his own retirement plans, saying he wants to retire at 65 to enjoy life after years of making people laugh.
G-Dragon is currently busy with his new album Ubermensch and a world tour. He recently made a comeback after a long break, releasing two hit singles, POWER and HOME SWEET HOME. Both songs topped music charts, proving his lasting popularity.
Fans are excited about his upcoming projects, including his Good Day variety show on Disney+. G-Dragon has always been known for his creativity, and his new music and TV work show he has no plans to slow down.
“I still get inspired and have a passion for music,” G-Dragon said during the show. “It’s not up to me—I’ll keep going as long as that continues.”
Park Myung Soo also asked G-Dragon about marriage. The singer admitted he has thought about it but isn’t seriously planning it yet. He joked that if he ever gets married, he would sing at his own wedding.
G-Dragon’s career has lasted over 20 years, starting as a trainee at a young age. He debuted with BigBang in 2006 and became one of the most influential artists in K-pop. Even after leaving YG Entertainment last year, he continues to make music under his new label, Galaxy Corporation.
His latest album, Ubermensch, is his first full solo project in over a decade. Fans are eagerly waiting for his world tour, which starts in Tokyo this month. G-Dragon’s ability to stay relevant after so many years shows why he is called the “King of K-pop.”
