The Vought Cinematic Universe is changing shape. Prime Video decided not to continue Gen V for a third season, but the story for Marie, Jordan, and the other young supes is far from finished. Erik Kripke, the creator of The Boys, has confirmed that these characters will appear in the final season of the main show, and he is already brainstorming ways to keep them alive in future spin-offs.

Gen V Characters Will Show Up In The Boys Final Season
The cancellation news disappointed many fans, but Kripke wants everyone to know this is not the end for Godolkin Universityโs students. In a recent interview with ScreenRant, Kripke gave a clear answer about where to expect these characters next.
โYeah, the Gen V kids certainly show up before the seasonโs over. We definitely wanted to keep them alive and be clear that they are out there in Annieโs army fighting the good fight.โ
The Boys Season 5 is currently releasing weekly on Prime Video. The show is heading toward its series finale, and the Gen V characters will join the resistance against Homelander and Vought. Marie Moreau (played by Jaz Sinclair) and Jordan Li (played by London Thor) are confirmed to appear in later episodes. Their storylines from Gen V, especially the fallout from Project Odessa, will connect directly to the main plot.
In a statement released alongside co-creator Evan Goldberg, Kripke expressed his disappointment about the show ending but reassured fans about the future.
โWhile we wish we could keep the party going another season at Godolkin, weโre committed to continuing the โGen Vโ charactersโ stories in โThe Boysโ Season 5 and other VCU projects on the horizon. Youโll see them again.โ
This means the young supes are moving from college-level problems to the global fight. The stakes will be much higher for them now.

Kripke Fought To Save Gen V And Hopes To Salvage Season 3 Ideas
The decision to cancel Gen V came from Amazon, not from the creative team. Kripke made this very clear to Entertainment Weekly after fans flooded his social media with complaints.
โI did not cancel the show. One, I donโt have the power to do that. Two, I was fighting to keep the show, almost more than anybody else on Earth. So Iโm as bummed as everybody else out there.โ
The second season of Gen V finished in October 2025. The show ended on a note that set up bigger conflicts, and the team already had plans for a third season. Kripke mentioned that he had a specific concept for Gen V Season 3 that he really liked. While he cannot share the full details yet, he gave a hint about where Marieโs journey was supposed to go.
โWeโre still hopeful we can find a way to do it. This idea that Marie is powerful, but thatโs not the end of her story. She has to learn how to control it.โ

Business reasons led to the cancellation. The streaming service looked at the number of viewers compared to the production cost. Gen V reportedly had a high budget, and Amazon decided that a third season did not make financial sense. However, the door remains open for the story to continue in a different form.
Future Spin-Offs Might Absorb The Gen V Cast
The Vought Cinematic Universe is not shrinking. Amazon is still investing in this world. Vought Rising, a prequel series set in the 1950s, is scheduled for a 2027 release. Jensen Ackles returns as Soldier Boy, and Aya Cash returns as Stormfront. Even though this show takes place in the past, Kripke sees it as a chance to keep the Gen V story moving.
โItโs very early days, because weโre focusing on getting Vought Rising out into the world, but Amazon has expressed an interest and they want to hear more potential stories in the world. So weโre internally brainstorming a couple different ideas. Weโll see which ones get traction, but they all have the opportunity to absorb at least some of the Gen V gang, and thatโs very much by design.โ
Another project, The Boys: Mexico, is also in development. Kripke and his team are actively looking for ways to bring the unproduced ideas from Gen V Season 3 into these new shows. The goal is to create a universe where characters move between different series. If a show ends, the characters do not disappear. They simply transfer to another part of the franchise.
