The week of June 1 to June 5, 2026, on General Hospital brought major danger for Liesl Obrecht. The villain Ross Cullum made her his next target after losing control of Britt Westbourne. The Friday, June 5 episode ended with Cullum grabbing Liesl inside her own car in the General Hospital parking lot. Cullum Kidnaps Liesl to Complete Faison’s Final Project
The biggest moment of the week happened on the Friday, June 5 episode. Liesl Obrecht went to General Hospital to search Britt Westbourne‘s office for clues about where her daughter had gone. After finishing her search, she walked back to her car in the parking lot. She got into the driver’s seat and did not see Ross Cullum hiding in the back.
Cullum reached up from behind and pressed a gloved hand over Liesl’s mouth. The episode ended with the attack in progress. Spoilers for the coming week confirm Cullum took Liesl to Wyndemere. She will wake up in the same underground cell that held Anna Devane and Josslyn Jacks months ago.
Earlier in the week, Cullum told Jenz Sidwell they needed to find a replacement for Britt. Britt ran away after learning she was being forced to work on Cesar Faison‘s cold fusion project. Cullum wanted someone with a great scientific mind. Liesl Obrecht fits that description perfectly. She is Britt’s mother, a world-class doctor, and has her own complicated history with Faison.
Sidwell did not want to replace Britt at first. He argued the work was irreplaceable. But Cullum insisted they could not wait any longer. He made it clear he would find someone to finish the job with or without Sidwell’s approval.
Liesl Warns Nina About Willow Being a Viper
Before the kidnapping, Liesl had a heated conversation with her nieces. She stormed into the house where Nina Reeves and Willow Cain were giving Drew Cain physical therapy. Liesl immediately noticed Drew blinking an SOS signal in Morse code. She warned Nina and Willow that Drew’s condition looked suspicious.
Liesl told them she did not care about their schemes. She just wanted to find her daughter Britt. But when Willow left the room, Liesl got serious with Nina. She called Willow a viper. She said Willow thinks she is a good person but simply is not. Liesl warned Nina that Willow would take her down if necessary. She also said if Willow wants Harrison Chase, she will get him because Willow does not play around.
Nina worried that Willow was setting herself up for heartbreak over Chase. But Liesl was not worried about Willow getting hurt. She seemed more concerned about Nina getting caught in Willow’s web.
Brook Lynn Recruits Lucy to Stop Willow
Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase finally decided to fight back against Willow’s growing interest in her husband Harrison Chase. After Alexis Davis told Brook Lynn and Chase that Phoebe‘s biological father agreed to a closed adoption, Chase received a call from Willow. Willow had expedited the adoption paperwork with the director of social services.
Chase excitedly said Willow would meet them to file the official adoption petition. Brook Lynn noticed how Willow was always right there whenever Chase needed something. She sent an urgent text to Lucy Coe asking to meet. Brook Lynn made an excuse about a Deception crisis so she could leave before Willow arrived.
When Brook Lynn met Lucy, she asked for advice on how to stop Willow from moving in on Chase. Lucy called herself a master in the world of adultery. She agreed to coach Brook Lynn on how to save her marriage and outmaneuver Willow.
Lucas Successfully Steals Evidence from Sidwell’s Safe
Lucas Jones played a key role in the plan against Jenz Sidwell this week. He returned to Wyndemere to access Sidwell’s safe again. While searching through the contents, he found the incriminating photographs of Sonny Corinthos and Laura Collins connected to Dalton‘s death. Lucas grabbed everything they needed to counter Sidwell’s leverage.
But Sidwell walked into the room while Lucas was there. He calmly asked if there was something he could help with. Lucas had just closed the safe when Sidwell appeared.
Lucas delivered the photos and negatives to Sonny and Laura at the Corinthos Coffee warehouse. Laura refused to let Sonny murder Sidwell, even if it was in their best interests. She wanted to use legal methods. Lucas argued the best way to bring down Sidwell was to catch him in the act of trying to kill someone else.
Sonny was surprised Lucas got so deeply involved after their bad relationship. Laura reminded him that Lucas’s love for Marco Rios trumped everything else. Lucas has proven he will do anything to avenge Marco’s murder. Sonny and Laura burned the photographs and negatives together.
Ava Suspects Ethan Is Running a Con
Ava Jerome met with Ethan Lovett after learning he was connected to Phoebe’s paternity. Ethan wanted to smooth things over with Ava because she had the ability to expose his secret. Ava quickly made it clear she knew Ethan was the father of Delilah‘s baby.
Ethan gave a speech about why he wanted the adoption sealed. But Ava was not buying it. As the son of Luke Spencer and Holly Sutton, there was a good chance Ethan had some scheme or con planned. Ava threatened to expose everything. She believed the whole situation might be a long con to get money from the Quartermaine family.
