Iori’s Chestnut Rice Craving Sends the PaB Group Into the Hills
The episode kicks off with Iori missing a specific taste from home: chestnut rice. His sister Shiori tries to tempt him with the food, which only makes his craving worse. The Peek-a-Boo group decides to head out to pick chestnuts, and Chisa Kotegawa joins them. The outing initially feels almost peaceful, especially since Chisa has clearly put thought into finding the right spot.
But this is Grand Blue. Peace never lasts long.
The calm disappears the moment the boys decide to enjoy a hot spring. A group of monkeys steals their clothes while they are bathing, leaving the men with no choice but to handle the situation in their usual completely shameless way. Kohei Meets His Strangest Rival Yet
Things become even more ridiculous when an idol named Ikegoshi arrives in the area with a television crew. Because Ikegoshi and Kohei Imamura look remarkably alike, the filming quickly turns into an identity mess. Kohei once again becomes the center of attention for all the wrong reasons.
Kohei also gets caught up in a bizarre misunderstanding involving the idol’s career and his own obsession with voice actresses. What follows is one of the episode’s wildest sequences, with Kohei and Ikegoshi getting pulled deeper into the chaos while the television crew tries to make sense of everything. Even a chestnut picking trip somehow becomes content for television.
Meanwhile, Kohei gets mistaken for the idol yet again and ends up being filmed picking chestnuts completely naked. A peaceful chestnut gathering? Not when PaB is involved.
Iori Gets Rewarded for Doing the Right Thing
After the madness of the chestnut trip, Iori returns to the diving shop and does something surprisingly responsible. He helps clean up an abandoned net from the water, which earns him praise for helping keep the sea clean. His uncle then gives him a leftover promotional lottery ticket as a small reward.
Iori checks the ticket and gets the shock of his life. He has won ¥300,000 (roughly $2,000 USD).
For someone surrounded by friends who can turn almost any amount of money into food, alcohol, or another terrible idea, Iori immediately realizes that keeping the ticket secret might be more difficult than actually winning it. The episode takes a surprisingly sweet turn when Iori remembers a promise he made to Chisa and decides to use the money to finally keep it.
