Where and How to Watch Season 2

What Season 2 Is About

The official synopsis for the new season states that it “follows the aftermath of the battle between David and Goliath and David’s rise to the throne”. The story shows David navigating difficult new challenges, including palace politics, jealousy from his own family, and a growing romance.

Israel nears collapse as Saulโ€™s reign falters. David continues his transformation from a simple shepherd to a powerful warrior, often caught between his personal loyalties and his ultimate destiny. The season is set against a backdrop of shifting alliances, forbidden loves, and the collision of faith and power that will decide the future of Israel.

The Cast and Creative Team

The series features a large ensemble cast bringing the ancient story to life. Michael Iskander returns in the lead role of David. He is joined again by Ali Suliman as King Saul, whose grip on power is weakening, and Stephen Lang as the prophet Samuel.

Other returning cast members include Ayelet Zurer as Queen Ahinoam, Indy Lewis as Michal, Ethan Kai as Jonathan, and Oded Fehr as Abner. The series is created by Jon Erwin, who also serves as an executive producer, director, and writer.

Traci Blackwell, a senior development executive at Amazon MGM Studios, explained the strategy behind the Wonder Project release, saying that this kind of “strategic windowing actually strengthens the showโ€™s life cycle”. She noted that “Wonder Project offers an early home for fans who are eager to see it first, and when the series arrives on Prime Video, it reaches a much larger audience worldwide”.
