The summer 2026 anime season continues with the fourth episode of I Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand arriving soon. The fantasy series follows Luck, an S-rank mage who made a desperate sacrifice to save his friends, only to return to a world that has completely changed.
Episode 4 is set to release on Thursday, July 24, 2026. New episodes drop weekly on Thursdays at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET on Crunchyroll. For viewers in the UK, that translates to around 2:00 p.m. GMT.
The series premiered on July 3, 2026, with the first three episodes already available to stream. The anime is scheduled to run for 12 episodes total, with the final episode expected on September 18, 2026.
In Japan, the show broadcasts on Mondays at 22:30 JST. Each episode streams three days in advance on Prime Video before the TV broadcast. Episode 4 will be available early on Prime Video starting Friday, July 24, 2026 at 22:30 JST.
What Happened So Far
The story centers on Luck, an S-rank mage who was part of the hero’s party. During a critical battle against the Demon King and endless demon hordes, Luck told his companions to escape while he stayed behind to hold the line. He fought alone in the space between dimensions, never sleeping or resting. When he finally defeated the demons and returned, 10 years had passed in the real world.
Episode 1 introduced this premise and showed Luck’s return. The world now celebrates him as a legendary hero who was presumed dead. However, Luck finds that he cannot simply go back to his old life. He decides to start over with a new identity, taking the name Lock and registering as an F-rank adventurer.
Episode 2 continued this journey. Luck reunited with his old friends, including Erik the hero and Golan the warrior. He also met Sia Wolcott, a werewolf hunter who tracks vampires. The episode focused on Luck adjusting to a world that has changed drastically in his absence.
Episode 3, which released on July 17, showed Luck taking on his first tasks as an F-rank adventurer. The series continues to explore how Luck’s legendary past influences his present actions as he tries to build a new life from scratch.

The opening theme song is “Soredemo Donten o Koeteyuku (Even So, We Go Past the Cloudy Skies)” performed by sajou no hana. The ending theme is “Ari Kitari na Nichijō to Kōun na Hibi e (Onwards to Ordinary and Fortunate Days)” by MEISHOHIKOKAI.
