The Invincible Season 4 finale has arrived on Prime Video, and the voice cast delivered some heavy moments in the episode titled “Don’t Leave Me Hanging Here.” The episode closed out the eight-episode run on April 22, 2026, bringing back the main voices along with some returning characters fans had not seen for several weeks.

The finale picks up after the destruction of planet Viltrum. Mark Grayson (voiced by Steven Yeun) struggles with PTSD throughout the episode, imagining Viltrumites causing death and destruction on Earth. But the real threat comes with a surprising offer from the Viltrumite leader.

Steven Yeun and J.K. Simmons Return for the Season Finale

Steven Yeun continues to voice the central hero Mark Grayson / Invincible. The episode shows Mark dealing with the mental weight of everything he has been through. He keeps seeing violent images of Viltrumites attacking Earth, even when everything is actually fine around him.

J.K. Simmons returns as Nolan Grayson / Omni-Man. The character spends most of the finale regretting his past actions from Season 1. He also takes Debbie to Talescria to check on Oliver, who is still recovering there. Fans have wanted more Omni-Man in recent seasons, and the finale gives Simmons room to work with the character’s guilt.

Sandra Oh voices Debbie Grayson, appearing alongside Omni-Man in key emotional beats of the episode.

Lee Pace’s Thragg Steals the Show With a Dangerous Offer

Lee Pace voices Thragg, the Grand Regent of the Viltrumite Empire. His character has been the main threat all season, and the finale puts him front and center. Instead of attacking Earth, Thragg offers Mark a truce. The Viltrumites will live among humans and grow their numbers peacefully.

Pace explained the deal in an interview with TheWrap:

โ€œI find it so interesting, that deal, because why would he even tell him heโ€™s doing it? Why wouldnโ€™t he just do it and let Mark kind of realize people with powers are popping up all around, making him discover it himself? Itโ€™s an intriguing choice to make, that he would actually be like, โ€˜This is why Iโ€™m doing this. This is what Iโ€™m doing. You can like it, you can not like it, but youโ€™re gonna have to deal with it. Youโ€™re gonna have to deal with me. Iโ€™m here now.โ€™โ€

Reviewers have noted that Pace brings a quiet menace to Thragg that makes the character work so well. He does not appear much in the early part of the season but becomes a major presence in the final episodes.

Gillian Jacobs and Seth Rogen Deliver Key Moments

Gillian Jacobs returns as Atom Eve for the first time since Episode 5 of this season. In a moment taken straight from the comics, Eve tells Mark she was pregnant when he left for the war and informs him she had an abortion. A troubled Mark apologizes for leaving her at such a difficult time.

Seth Rogen voices Allen the Alien. After Thaedus gets killed by Thragg in the previous episode, Allen gets chosen as the new leader of the Coalition of Planets. The finale’s mid-credit scene shows Allen receiving a recorded message from Thaedus, who reveals a new form of the Scourge Virus that could kill all Viltrumites, including half-Viltrumites like Mark and Oliver.
