NMIXX member Haewon recently caused a stir on the variety show You Quiz while discussing her ideal type. The conversation, which included fellow guests Ailee, Park Jinjoo, and Mijoo, took a humorous turn when Haewon revealed her preference for someone cute, ultimately naming actor Byeon Woo Seok.
Haewon’s Ideal Type Reveal and the Cast’s Reaction
During the tvN show, Park Jinjoo unexpectedly asked Haewon about her ideal type. Visibly flustered, Haewon initially responded with the general descriptor “cute person.” She hesitated to name anyone specific to avoid potential dating rumors.
However, the other cast members playfully teased her. Ailee made cute sounds and gestures, while Park Jinjoo imitated a cat. Host Yoo Jae Suk pressed further, asking if there was anyone who fit her description. Haewon then mentioned “someone like Byeon Woo Seok sunbaenim (senior).”
This revelation drew a surprised reaction from the cast. Byeon Woo Seok has gained significant popularity through dramas like Lovely Runner (2024) and Strong Girl Nam Soon (2023). Yoo Jae Suk jokingly told her to stop talking about it, and everyone laughed at Haewon for choosing such a popular figure, relating it to typical Gen Z preferences.
From Hesitation to Honest Answer
Initially, Haewon seemed hesitant to name anyone, likely due to concerns about fan reactions. The cast reassured her that simply mentioning someone’s name didn’t imply romantic interest, encouraging her to answer honestly. This encouragement led to her mentioning Byeon Woo Seok.
The episode also featured Haewon, Ailee, Park Jinjoo, and Mijoo performing a rendition of Kim Yeon Woo’s Still Beautiful as NMIXX’s new unit, Winter Dreamgirls.
