JoJo Siwa has clearly stated she is not dating Chris Hughes, even though their close bond and public displays of affection keep fans guessing. The pair met on Celebrity Big Brother UK and have been inseparable since, sparking rumors of a romance. However, Siwa insists they are just good friends.
During an episode of Lorraine on May 26, 2025, host Andi Peters suggested Hughes was her boyfriend. Siwa laughed and replied, “No.” She joked about their friendship, referencing Love Island, saying, “Christopher and I have had a lot of chats. We have never gone into the kitchen and said, ‘My head’s not turning any way.’” This implies they haven’t discussed exclusivity.
Despite her denial, their actions tell a different story. Hughes shared cozy photos of them cuddling in Mexico, calling their time together “the prettiest” seven days. Siwa added in the comments, “& happiest:). Heart is overflowing.” The Sun also reported they were seen kissing in a pool during the trip.
Siwa’s ex, Kath Ebbs, claimed they broke up at the Celebrity Big Brother after-party with Hughes nearby. Ebbs said, “I was dumped at the after-party, with Chris in the next room.” Siwa later clarified that Hughes had nothing to do with the split.
At a London concert, Siwa changed song lyrics to “Chris Hughes Eyes,” making fans cheer. She later said, “If it’s not obvious, that ending lyric is very much true.” Still, she refuses to label their relationship.
Hughes welcomed Siwa at Heathrow Airport with flowers, and they held hands. She calls him “one of my favorite people in the entire world” and says he makes her happier than ever. Yet, she stands firm that they are not dating.
Siwa also opened up about her sexuality, saying she no longer identifies as a lesbian but as queer. She told a Celebrity Big Brother housemate, “I’ve realized I am not a lesbian, I’m queer. I’m switching letters!”
Their bond began on Celebrity Big Brother UK, where Hughes called it a “soulmate friendship.” Siwa agrees, saying their connection is special but not romantic. Fans remain convinced otherwise, given their constant PDA and sweet words for each other.
