Fans of the dark fantasy anime are about to receive new information regarding the fourth season. The animation studio MAPPA has confirmed a special event for June 14, 2026, where they will share major updates about Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 and other projects. The upcoming season, officially titled The Culling Game Part 2, continues right after the explosive events of the third season finale.
The show’s third season wrapped up in March 2026 with the Sendai Colony episode. That episode featured Yuta Okkotsu fighting against ancient sorcerers Takako Uro and Ryu Ishigori. Right after the finale aired, the official social media accounts confirmed the show will return for a fourth season.

Instead of waiting for the big Anime Expo in July, MAPPA decided to hold their own event in June. What Happens In The Culling Game Part 2 Story
The fourth season will show the second half of the Culling Game arc. This deadly tournament was created by the villain Kenjaku, who now controls Suguru Geto’s body. Many cursed energy users must fight each other for survival inside special colonies set up across Japan.
Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Maki Zen’in join this brutal game. Their goal is to stop Kenjaku’s plans and find a way to free Satoru Gojo from the Prison Realm. The season 3 finale showed Sukuna briefly in flashbacks, setting up bigger conflicts ahead.
The Sendai Colony episode received a 9.9 rating on IMDb. Fans praised the Three-Way Domain Expansion battle between Yuta, Uro, and Ishigori as some of the best animation work from MAPPA.

Adam McArthur, the English voice actor for Yuji Itadori, recently teased the upcoming season. He confirmed that season 4 will include many memorable moments, including lighter scenes that balance out the dark action. The original manga series by Gege Akutami ended in September 2024. A short sequel manga called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo also finished in March 2026. Even though the printed story is completely over, the anime adaptation continues moving forward.
