Netflix has confirmed the production of the new series “Can This Love Be Translated” (working title) and revealed the cast!
On June 27, Netflix announced the new series “Can This Love Be Translated.” The cast includes Kim Seon Ho, Go Youn Jung, Sota Fukushi, Lee Yi Dam, and Choi Woo Sung. The show is an unpredictable romantic comedy about Joo Ho Jin (Kim Seon Ho), a multilingual interpreter who becomes the translator for global superstar Cha Mu Hee (Go Youn Jung).
“Can This Love Be Translated” is a romantic comedy from the Hong sisters, known for hits including “Alchemy of Souls,” “Hotel Del Luna,” “The Greatest Love,” and “Master’s Sun.” Directed by Yoo Young Eun, who showcased a striking visual style and sensitive direction in “Bloody Heart,” the series promises to be a captivating romantic comedy for a global audience.
Kim Seon Ho, known for his roles in “Start-Up,” “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” and the film “The Childe,” will play Joo Ho Jin, a multilingual interpreter fluent in English, Japanese, Italian, and more.
Go Youn Jung will play Cha Mu Hee, a lively and confident top star. Go Youn Jung is known for her diverse roles in the drama series “Sweet Home,” “Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow,” and “Moving” as well as the film “Hunt,” steadily building a distinctive filmography.
Moreover, Sota Fukushi, known for his roles in films such as “As the Gods Will,” “Bleach,” and “My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday” as well as the drama series “Library Wars: The Last Mission” and “I’m Taking The Day Off,” will make his first appearance in a Korean production with “Can This Love Be Translated.”
Additionally, Lee Yi Dam, known for her charismatic roles in Netflix series such as “Daily Dose of Sunshine” and “Black Knight,” will join Choi Woo Sung in the cast. Choi Woo Sung, recognized for his steady acting in dramas including “Chief Detective 1958,” “Melancholia,” and “My Roommate Is a Gumiho,” is expected to deliver compelling performance.
