Aneha Singh walked down the aisle on her wedding day, stood across from Cam Halloran, and said the one thing no Love Is Blind altar has ever heard: “I don’t know.” The 28-year-old principal engineer in biotech did not say yes. She did not say no, either. She told Cam he was still her “person,” that she needed more time, and then she walked away—leaving her fiancé standing at the altar and the entire experiment in a state of romantic limbo. The moment proved something the season had been hinting at for weeks: Aneha wanted the title of fiancée. The reality of a husband was a different story.
Warning: This article contains spoilers for the Love Is Blind Season 11 finale, now streaming on Netflix.
Who Is Aneha Singh?
Aneha entered the Boston-based Season 11 as a self-described “yapper” who loves dad jokes and works as a principal engineer at a biotech company. She was raised Hindu in a traditional family, and her parents themselves had an arranged marriage—a detail she brought up in the pods as proof that they might be open-minded about her unconventional path to love. She is also sober and has never had a sip of alcohol, a fact that became a quiet fault line in her relationship with Cam.
Aneha’s family lives in California, while filming took place in Boston, a logistical gap that later became part of the explanation for why her parents never met Cam during the experiment.
The Pod Connection and the First Red Flag
The connection between Aneha and Cam formed entirely in the pods. Cam later described the feeling in simple terms: every time he stepped into a pod and knew she was on the other side, he would smile. “It was a sense of comfort and calmness,” he said at the altar. Cam had also been talking to another woman, Malaine, but he chose Aneha and proposed.
The reveal did not go smoothly. When Aneha saw Cam for the first time, her reaction was not joy. It was a series of awkward jokes. “You’re, like, so different to what I thought you would look like,” she said, then pointed at his hair and suggested he had a “f***boy haircut” and should get a piercing. She promised to “elevate” and “mould” him. In her confessional, Aneha admitted that Cam was not the type of guy she would normally go for.
“Genuinely, I have no idea where that came from, and I’m so sorry. I don’t want a f***boy. I just wanted him to get a fade! People are like, ‘This is Love Is Blind, not Build A Boy.’ Valid. Fair. Heard. I get it.”

Cam took the comments with humor, later saying, “It’s hard to say it was funny, but I do find a lot of humor in things. After the fact, I was like, ‘Wow, does she hate me?’”. He even bought a clip-on earring before the Mexico trip, planning to wear it as a joke, but forgot about it.
Mexico, Family Doubts, and the Drinking Divide
The Mexico getaway is where the fractures became visible. Aneha told Cam that her parents might not accept him. She called her mother, and the response was clear: her family wanted nothing to do with the experiment or the wedding. In one conversation, Aneha said the issue was partly that Cam was white and Christian. She also opened up about her family’s history with alcohol-related issues, which made Cam’s drinking a source of discomfort for her.
The couple had known each other in person for only three or four days by the time the Mexico trip wrapped, and Aneha later said they left a hotel room after they could not see eye to eye on a conversation. She described Cam as “really intoxicated” during one exchange and said he was triggered because she had talked to John—another contestant.
Money became another friction point. Aneha wanted her partner to be the main financial provider. “When it comes to money, I like my partner to be the main person,” she said, and the two argued about it during episode 9. They also disagreed on children. Aneha said she wanted a kid by 35 but did not necessarily want to be pregnant and was open to surrogacy, while Cam knew he wanted kids.
The Sister Who Said No
Aneha’s sister, Anekha, became one of the most important voices in the final days before the wedding. In a conversation shared by Netflix, Aneha told her sister that Cam was someone she would “love for the rest of my life”. Her sister pushed back. She told Aneha that people should get married because they want to stay together, not just because they like each other. When Aneha asked directly whether her sister would be happy if she married Cam, the answer was no. Her sister also said she did not believe Cam loved her in the way a husband should.
“I think he’s a genuine person. I think he’s a good person. I just don’t know if he’s your person.”

The absence of Aneha’s parents on the wedding day hung over the entire ceremony. “My parents aren’t here. It’s freaking me out,” she admitted while getting ready. She told friends and family that she and Cam were “tied for life” and called him “the perfect guy” when he communicated and showed affection, but the weight of her family’s disapproval was visible on her face.
The Altar Moment
Cam delivered a full-hearted speech at the altar. He praised Aneha’s kindness, intelligence, and generosity. He said they challenged each other and made each other better people. Aneha, visibly shaking, began her own speech with the line that had been building all season: “I didn’t think I could find someone who would love me for me and didn’t want me to change”. She admitted she was anxious.
When the officiant asked whether she would commit to marrying Cam, the silence stretched. “I’m freaking out,” she said. “I need, like, a second. I feel weird. I don’t know why I feel like this. I feel anxious”.
What came next was not a rejection in the traditional sense. Aneha told Cam she still believed he was her person. “But I do not today,” she said. “I need more time”. As she walked away from the altar, she called out that Cam was still her fiancé. Cam told his family he was not sure “what happens now”.
“I still believe you’re my person. But I do not today. I need more time.”

Single, Not Engaged: The Aftermath
The altar was not the end of the conversation, but it was the end of the engagement in practice. Two years after the season filmed, Aneha confirmed that she and Cam are both single. The relationship did not survive into the present.
Aneha later described the wedding day as the moment she realized she was not ready to commit. “I felt like I almost let myself down,” she said. “I wish we had more time, maybe another month. I feel like I would have felt stronger in my opinion either way”. She wanted to keep dating Cam, not shut the door entirely, but that hope did not turn into a lasting relationship.
Spoilers from the reunion, which filmed recently and airs November 8 on Netflix, say Cam and Aneha came face-to-face and confirmed they are not even dating. Cam allegedly also said he was planning to say no to Aneha on their wedding day—she simply went first.
Why the “Delulu” Label Sticks
The word “delulu” has followed Aneha since the finale, and the altar scene explains why. She wanted the safety of a fiancé—someone who loved her, someone she could call her person—but the legal and emotional weight of a husband required a yes she could not give. The contradiction was not cruelty. It was a collision between a romanticized version of the experiment and the real man standing in front of her.

Aneha herself acknowledged the imbalance in a conversation with Vulture. “I’m someone who needs words and reassurance all the time,” she said. “I suck at giving it. But that’s what I crave”. The altar became the place where that imbalance finally had nowhere left to hide.
