Today, on the occasion of his wife Namrata Shirodkar’s 52nd birthday, Mahesh Babu shared an emotional post on his social media, thanking her for making his every day better.
Mahesh Babu posted a beautiful photo of Namrata Shirodkar, in which she is seen smiling and looking at the camera. He wrote in the caption, “Happy Birthday NSG…Grateful for another year full of love and togetherness. Thank you for making my every day better. I hope 2024 proves to be a great year.” Namrata Shirodkar, who is currently away from home, replied to his post, saying, “Thank you MB… I am missing you a lot at home.”
Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar met on the sets of their film ‘Vamsi’ in 2000, and fell in love with each other. They got married in 2005, after dating for five years. Namrata Shirodkar, who was a former Miss India and a successful actress, quit her film career after marriage and became a full-time homemaker. She also manages Mahesh Babu’s professional affairs and oversees his production house.
The couple has two children, son Gautam Ghattamaneni and daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni, who are often seen in their parents’ social media posts. Sitara, who is nine years old, also has her own Instagram account, where she shares her cute and candid moments with her family and friends. Today, she also wished her mother on her birthday, by making a collage of photos with her. She wrote, “Happy Birthday Amma! Thank you for your love, hugs and beautiful moments. I hope your day is as special as you are. I love you very much.”
Mahesh Babu, who is one of the most popular and highest-paid actors in the Telugu film industry, is also enjoying a successful phase in his career. His latest film, ‘Guntur Karam’, which was released on January 12, has become a huge hit at the box office, breaking several records. The film, which is an action thriller, collected Rs 94 crore worldwide on the opening day, out of which Rs 47 crore is from the Indian box office. This is the highest opening for any Mahesh Babu film so far. The film also received positive reviews from the critics and the audience, who praised Mahesh Babu’s performance and the gripping storyline.
However, the film faced some competition from other releases in the second week, and its earnings slowed down a bit. The film collected a total of Rs 69.10 crore on the second weekend, taking its total collection to Rs 118 crore at the Indian box office. The film is expected to cross the Rs 150 crore mark soon, and become one of the biggest hits of 2024.
