Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are now parents of two. The Stranger Things star, 22, and her husband, 24, have welcomed their second child through adoption, a source confirmed to People on Thursday, September 17, 2026. Hours later, the couple shared the first glimpse of their newborn son on Instagram with a simple, sweet caption: “Hi little guy!”.

A Baby Boy Joins the Family

The joint Instagram post featured a close-up photo of the couple’s hands cradling their newborn son’s tiny hand. Brown’s daughter’s arm was also visible in the frame, making it a complete family photo for the first time. The actress wore a gold ring with diamond letters spelling “Mom” on her finger.

The caption confirmed the baby’s gender. The couple welcomed a baby boy, who joins their young daughter, whom they adopted in August 2025. Brown and Bongiovi have not publicly shared their son’s name or face, continuing their pattern of keeping their children’s identities private.

Representatives for the couple have not issued an official statement about the newest arrival. The news was first reported by an unnamed source to People magazine earlier on Thursday.

The Couple Hinted at the News Earlier

Brown appeared to hint that her family was growing in an Instagram post shared on September 7, 2026. In a video from a family trip to the Dolomites mountain range in Italy, Brown was seen carrying their daughter while Bongiovi walked beside her with a baby carrier strapped to his chest. The newest addition remained out of view as the family strolled with alpacas. The post was captioned, “Different in the dolomites”.

Fans picked up on the baby carrier in the video and began speculating that the couple had adopted another child days before the news was confirmed.

Brown’s Journey to Adoption

Brown has spoken openly about her decision to adopt. During an appearance on the “Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce” podcast in June 2026, she said she had “always, always wanted to adopt” and that it was “always part of my childhood dreams”.

“Adoption is love. Adoption is forever.”

The actress explained that she took many courses in adoption beforehand and had studied social work for two years before switching to being a vet. She said the aspect of adoption in her social work courses was “so, so meaningful and important”. The hardest part of the process, she shared, was “waiting for the call”.

In a separate conversation on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, Brown described the moment she got the call about her first child. “It was the most surreal feeling and yet we both knew in that moment that we had found each other,” she said.

Family Life on a Georgia Farm

Brown and Bongiovi live on a farm in Georgia with their children and a growing crew of animals, including 10 dogs. The actress has described motherhood as a life-changing experience.

“It’s like going from black and white to color. It’s just – everything feels complete and perfect in every way.”

She told British Vogue that her days are “filled with lots of cuddles and laughter and love” and that she and Bongiovi are “50-50 on everything” when it comes to parenting.

Brown also explained why she keeps her children’s identities private. “For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to potentially one day share it herself,” she said. “It’s not my place to purposefully put her in the spotlight unwillingly”.

The couple have both said they want a big family. Brown is one of four children, and Bongiovi is also one of four. During an appearance on the Smartless podcast, Brown said, “I really want a family. I really want a big family”. She also said she does not see having a biological child as being different from adopting.
