After Titan X follows her stolen egg to Skull Island, Isabel (Amber Midthunder) puts her real plan into motion. She does not just want to study the creature. She wants to use Titan X to kill Kong. This plan shocks Kentaro (Ren Watabe) , who agreed to help Isabel but did not know about her wish to hurt the giant ape.

Isabel’s team uses a strong anesthetic to knock out Titan X when she arrives at her egg. While the Titan is unconscious, they put special implants into her body. These implants, similar to what Apex used before, do not calm the creature. They make her more aggressive. The goal is simple: make Titan X angry enough to fight and kill Kong so Isabel can control Skull Island without any threats.

Kentaro’s Secret Wish Shakes His Bond With Cate

For many episodes, viewers have watched Kentaro make confusing choices. Episode 9 finally explains why he is helping Isabel. He does not care about science or money. Kentaro wants to save his father, Hiroshi, from dying. He thinks using Axis Mundi as a time tool can stop the death from happening.

Cate (Anna Sawai) tries very hard to talk sense into her brother. She lost trust in him when he chose Isabel’s team over her. When Cate learns about the time travel part of the plan, she calls it insane. She reminds Kentaro that their father would not want people to get hurt for this reason. But Kentaro is too deep in his grief to listen. By the end of the episode, he stands in a base on Skull Island, ready to help control Titan X, while Cate looks for a way to stop everything from falling apart.

Keiko and Lee Find Bill Randa’s Final Message

While the younger characters deal with Isabel, Keiko (Mari Yamamoto) and Old Lee Shaw (Kurt Russell) take a different path. They follow Bill Randa’s old map to find a stable rift. Their journey leads them deep into the valleys of Skull Island. This is the same place where Bill died years ago.

The moment hits hard emotionally. Keiko finds several devices that Bill had sent through rifts over many years. Each device holds a letter from Bill to Keiko. In one of them, Bill promises to love her “to the ends of the earth, and beyond.” Lee admits to Keiko that her disappearance “changed everything” for him and for Bill. He tells her that Bill became a different man after losing her, spending his whole life trying to find a way to get her back.
