This confirms its place in Netflix’s first-quarter lineup for 2026, which features a strong selection of Korean content.
The Plot: A Story of Three Closed-Off Lives
Pavane follows three individuals who have shut themselves off from the world, only to find an unexpected connection with each other. The official synopsis describes them as “emotionally closed-off individuals who slowly become a ray of light for one another, ultimately learning to face life and love again”.
The story centers on Mi-jung, played by Go Ah-sung. She works as a salesperson in a department store but lives her life trying to be invisible, avoiding attention and eye contact at all costs. Her world intersects with two men. Yo-han (Byun Yo-han) is a free-spirited man who loves rock music and classic films, and works in the store’s parking lot. Gyeong-rok (Moon Sang-min) is a young man who has given up on his dreams and starts a part-time job at the same store, where he begins to develop feelings for Mi-jung. The narrative explores how these three people, who struggle to love themselves, help each other heal and open up.
