Netizens are furious as they accuse Scooter Braun of disrespecting SEVENTEEN and TXT in his retirement letter.

Over the past few months, HYBE has been heavily criticized for its collaborations with Western artists who have previously supported Israel. One of the biggest objections has been HYBE’s link with Scooter Braun, the CEO of HYBE America. With the ongoing genocide in Gaza, fans have raised anger and demanded his removal from HYBE, including boycotting the company.

Recently, Scooter Braun announced his retirement from music management on Instagram but explained that he would focus primarily on his life as a father and HYBE America CEO.

While the post itself caused anger due to Scooter Braun’s increased dedication to HYBE and his links to Zionism, another part of his letter caused fury among fans because of his choice of wording in the post.

On one of the slides, when referring directly to HYBE, Scooter Braun listed some “new acts,” and netizens were shocked to see TXT (who debuted in 2019) and SEVENTEEN (who debuted back in 2015) listed among some of the newer idols debuted under the company.

After netizens noticed the wording when describing SEVENTEEN and TXT, they shared their anger that two groups who have been active for a very long time and key to HYBE’s growth were disrespected and had their experience undermined by Scooter Braun.
