Dispatch is facing intense backlash from netizens after removing NewJeans‘ dance practice videos following a controversial report.
What Happened?
On July 23, Dispatch published a report about ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin and her alleged takeover of Source Music’s plans to debut NewJeans. This report claimed that Min Hee Jin acted based on advice from her shaman. It also included never-before-seen footage of NewJeans members during their trainee period.
Key Details:
The report featured videos of the initial seven-member lineup of NewJeans, then called “the N team.”
The clips showed the members practicing “Attention” and their solo dance practices.
Dispatch admitted that HYBE sourced this massive “leak.”
ADOR and NewJeans’ legal representatives threatened HYBE with legal action, protesting the “unauthorized release of trainee videos and personal portraits.”

A few days after the backlash, Dispatch removed all the video clips from the report. This move was highlighted by a netizen on the popular community site Theqoo.
