Netflix dropped the first full trailer for Nobody Wants This Season 3 on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, and it shows the couple jumping into their next big milestone: living together. The new season arrives on Oct. 22, 2026, with all 10 episodes dropping at once on Netflix.
The Trailer Shows Joanne and Noah Settling Into Their New Home
The trailer opens with Joanne and Noah unpacking boxes and enjoying the simple fact that they finally live under the same roof. They high-five by the pool, brush their teeth together in a playful nod to a famous movie scene, and share quiet moments at home. Co-showrunner Jenni Konner explained the shift in the story.
“We didn’t have to do any more ‘Will they, won’t they?’” Konner said. “We know they are going to, and it was sort of, ‘How are they going to?’”
That question drives much of the new season. Creator Erin Foster said the team wanted to keep the couple moving forward instead of creating fake problems.
“We feel like there are so many other ways to tell the story of a rom-com without pulling the rug out from under people and creating false obstacles for the couple,” Foster said. “We wanted this couple to be moving in a forward motion together and having all these big romantic moments you want to see.”
Joanne Takes an Intro to Judaism Class With a New Rabbi
One of the biggest new storylines involves Joanne’s conversion process. She joins an Intro to Judaism class taught by Rabbi Eden, played by Sarah Silverman. The class brings new faces and new tension. Andrew Rannells joins the cast as Sebastien, a classmate who wastes no time bringing up Joanne’s complicated reputation.
“I heard about you,” Sebastien tells Joanne in the trailer. “You know — the hot rabbi blew up his life to be with you.”
Joanne fires back with her own take: “Our story is a little bit more nuanced and much more romantic than that.”
Silverman’s Rabbi Eden is described as a warm and quirky teacher who becomes a supportive presence for Joanne. Rannells’ Sebastien is set up as Joanne’s nemesis in the conversion class.
Noah’s Mom Bina May Finally Be Coming Around
For two seasons, Noah’s mother Bina, played by Tovah Feldshuh, has been one of the biggest obstacles to Joanne and Noah’s relationship. The new trailer hints that things may be changing. Bina drops the word “rebbetzin” around Joanne, which Noah explains means “rabbi’s wife.” It is a small moment, but it suggests Bina may finally be accepting Joanne as part of the family.
Sasha and Esther Navigate Life After Separation
The new season also spends time with Noah’s brother Sasha (Timothy Simons) and his wife Esther (Jackie Tohn). After their separation, both are back in the dating world, and neither seems fully ready for it. Esther is excited about new possibilities, while Sasha is much less eager to put himself out there. One funny moment in the trailer shows Joanne’s dad, Henry (Michael Hitchcock), offering Sasha some questionable dating advice about shaving his entire body.
At the same time, the long-simmering tension between Sasha and Morgan (Justine Lupe) becomes harder to ignore now that Sasha is single. Morgan is also pushing her career forward, on her way to becoming what the show calls an “(almost) media sensation.”

The trailer includes a quick cameo from series creator Erin Foster, who spills a drink on Adam Brody. It is her first on-screen appearance in the show.
