Netflix’s Korean romantic comedy Our Sticky Love dropped all 12 episodes on August 7, 2026, and viewers are already talking about the finale. The series, starring Jung Hae-in and Ha Young, wrapped up with major revelations about Jang Tae-ha’s past while giving Go Eun-sae’s story a complete resolution.
The show follows Eun-sae, an ambitious prosecutor who loses her memory after an accident while investigating a crime syndicate. Tae-ha, a former boxing champion who now works as a coach, finds her and realises she was his first love. To keep her safe from the syndicate, he lies and tells her he is her boyfriend. Eun-sae Finally Gets Her Memories Back

The Truth About Tae-ha’s Past
The finale reveals why Tae-ha lied to Eun-sae in the first place. Throughout the series, viewers knew Tae-ha was hiding something. Yes, he lied to protect Eun-sae, but the reason behind it went deeper than just keeping her safe.
Baek Sang-gil is revealed to be Tae-ha’s biological father. Sang-gil had abandoned Tae-ha, Kaito, and their mother when he failed as a boxer and turned to a life of crime. Tae-ha grew up knowing what his father was capable of and what he could do to Eun-sae if he found her. Tae-ha worked for Sang-gil and recognised Eun-sae immediately. He lied about being her boyfriend to keep her away from his father’s reach.
Sang-gil’s backstory adds more context to the story. He used to learn boxing but was thrown out when he decided to cheat for money. He was eventually recruited by a gang. While dating Tae-ha’s mother, he got her pregnant but refused to take responsibility because of his own past trauma.
In the finale, Sang-gil faces the consequences of his actions. Instead of killing Tae-ha for protecting Eun-sae, he takes his own life. He realises his mistakes and decides to stop the cycle of harm he has caused his family.
A Happy Ending for the Main Couple
After everything settles, Eun-sae forgives Tae-ha for his lies. She understands that his actions came from a place of love and a desire to protect her. The couple decides to pursue a real relationship with no more secrets between them.
Eun-sae and Tae-ha get married in a small, warm ceremony in the village. Their friends and family gather to celebrate their union. The series ends on a happy note with the couple finally together and free from the dangers that once threatened them.
Other characters also find their happy endings. An Gi-jun, Eun-sae’s doctor, proposes to Min Su-ji. The village returns to peace after the criminal organisation is dismantled.
What Made the Finale Work
The Our Sticky Love finale ties together multiple storylines that had been building throughout the series. Tae-ha’s past connects everything — his lies, his protective nature, and his connection to the crime syndicate. The reveal that Sang-gil is his father explains why Tae-ha went to such lengths to keep Eun-sae safe.
Director Kim Jang-han, known for Do You Like Brahms? and My Demon, blended romance with crime drama to create a series that keeps viewers engaged until the end. Writer Mo Ji-hye, who wrote You Raise Me Up, crafted a story that starts as a romantic comedy but moves into thriller territory before returning to romance.
Jung Hae-in described his character as the ultimate hopeless romantic who never stops trying to protect the person he loves. Ha Young, making her lead debut in a romantic comedy, praised her co-star for his support on set. Heo Sung-tae, known for his role in Squid Game, plays the villain Baek Sang-gil and called it the most evil role he has ever played.
